Awesome place. It is a 14th century fortress, that was occupied by both German (Nazi) and America troops during WWII. The views of the tuscan fields from the (community) kitchen balcony were BEAUTIFUL! I could have sat there on the balcony all day long. We had a car which was nice because it is a little ways from the actual city of Siena. We had no trouble at all finding it -- excellent directions from the place. We left our car and caught the bus to Siena (20 min), which was very convienent.

Charming and amazingly friendly staff. Highly recommend taking one of the tours offered. It's worth the money and overall feels like a step backwards in time. Great experience!

It was quite an experience to stay in Fattoria! i loved the scenery and the medieval feel to the place. The owner was really friendly and warm. There are many brochures and guidebooks there to help you to plan your excursions to nearby towns like San Gimignano, Chianti, etc.

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the views of the countryside, service, and value. The owner is very friendly and it was nice to meet other people traveling there. It is about 5 km away from the center of Siena but the area is quiet and just great views! There were people of all ages staying at this large villa.

This place was amazing, so much character. Its set in a small town about 10km from Siena, and a perfect base for driving to the nearby Tuscan wineries and beautiful castle towns. The town has everything you need in terms or restaurants or supermarkets to purchase and utilise the facilities. I was travelling in the quiet season (late April) so there was little atmosphere but would have been perfect for a couple. You could honestly host a wedding there. Staff were also great! Grazie!

I loved the beauiful views of the countryside from the balcony and being able to cook in the kitchen! I was just a bit cold in our room, but other than that, our stay was great.
