The room is tiny, but I guess you cannot ask that much in the city center of Frankfurt. The staff and the bar are quite nice, and the environment is REALLY CLEAN. Also free breakfast is always a plus. The only concern for me is the redlight district nearby. Well, overall it is above average, recommended to those who are looking for a clean and convenient place to stay.

Five Elements is a good hostel, especially for the price. I was a single female traveling and was not bothered at all by being in the red-light district. If anything, it's a great location for people coming from the Hauptbahnhof, and in walking distance to the Staedel Museum and the shopping mile. The included breakfast is nice as well.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Nice new and modern. Felt more like a hotel but with a hostel vibe downstairs in the bar and common areas. It's in a very convenient location and even though it is in the red light district I didn't feel that uncomfortable walking back to the place at night.

Nice place to stay , the staff is pretty cool when they have a bit of time to talk , close to the train station and the bar is good. The dorms are clean, the only thing is not a lot of people talk together , apparently the wifi is really nice ! :)

Definitely one of the best Hostel I've ever stayed. The location is very good (near from the main train station) The common area is quite inviting and there is free coffe or tea available all the time. The beds are comfortable enough and clean. Unfortunately I can´t say the same for the bathrooms and showers, that was the only thing I wasn´t contented. They were unclean. Anyhow I would stay there again if I come back to Frankfurt.

everything was very nice , I really liked it. And the idea of coffe and te the whole day and free breakfast is great. beside the activities that they organize.

The staff weren't overly friendly. This our first experience of Germany and we were looking for a little more guidance but felt we were a hindrance to staff.

Spend a night there. Location is excellent, near the train station, supermarkets etc. I wasn't bothered that is in red light district. Stuff are ok, rooms are nice and they offer a free breakfast. Free wifi, works also in the rooms.

Very nice hostel, you would only need to change the location and put some hangers on the shower toilets.

very good staff but certainly under-staffed at certain times in the evening.

I stayed in an individual room with shower and bathroom. Poor breakfast (included, however). Has elevator. Nice security system (you're in the middle of Frankfurt's prostitution street, but it's not dangerous at all). Very nice staff. Clean sheets. The shower, however, had no door, so they leave you a floor squeegee to dry the floor (really lame ideia, go install a glass door, for God's sake).

Located in the Red Light and drug sale district, but only 3-5 min walk from the main train station - very convenient. The strip joint people will try to get your attention as you walk past, but if you ignore them you're just fine - just keep walking, don't look at them or answer their questions/invitations. The drug people are involved with their own business and give you no attention. The hostel is well secured and entry must be approved by the person at the counter, so no outsiders on the insi

Great place to stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was awesome. The rooms clean and big. The kitchen is a little small but functional. Being in the red light district was no issue at all. Would definitely stay there again :)
