The staffs are really friendly and efficient.

The hostel is a couple of tram stations away from the center, but if you do it the local way you don't even have to pay for the trip ;) The facilities are all you need in a hostel. The bathroom on the shared room is even luxurius for the price you pay. But the strongest point about this hostel is the staff, the girls at the reception were super kind to us, showing us the main attractions of the city and giving us usefull information. They even offer to take us out, but sadly we couldn't join the

Funk Lounge Hostel is the best Hostel i have ever stayed. Ill just state that first. Second i read a complaint about that said the staff were "drinking" with the guest. There must be a confusion between who's staff and who is not. Most of the Croatians at the hostel are not staff. They are friends of the staff which is why they are drinking BECAUSE THEY DON'T WORK THERE. It's a SUPER POSITIVE HOSTEL with nothing bad about it. There is just friendly people and a GREAT ATMOSPHERE.

Would not tell anyone I know to stay here - the location was ok and I don't mind walking but there's much better places closer. Maybe it was Bad timing but the first night there was a dozen 10 year olds screaming the next day it was a dozen 19 year old boys during the day drunk and yelling around the hostel. Even worse the staff were drinking with them and the hostel has a 'special smoking room'(aka drug toom)-Myself and another traveller cxld all further reservations with this hostel. Terrible!

The best of all was the staff. So nice and friendly. Thank You!!!

It´s an awesome hostel, really! The staff is just very nice and always here to take care of you and advise you. I loved this hostel and I have already recommended it to some friends who will come in Zagreb in June.

The place we stayed was really nice. The staff was excellent. Very helpful, friendly and with good energy. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this hostel again.

Very nice staff, they give a lot of information and clues about town, such as things to see, place to eat, parking, etc. No curfew and 24h reception is also nice thing especially if you want to check out night life in town. Kitchen has enough utilities to prepare breakfast/supper or even something more with enough fantasy. There is also funk lounge bar right next to hotel in which you can grab a breakfast before sightseeing.

Great rooms and great beds. The hostel staff were very personable...they just were not always at the desk when they said they would be.

Funk Lounge is definitely one of the better hostels in Europe. There location was right next to the tram system so nothing in Zagreb was too far away and the hostel itself was definitely clean but what truly made the hostel great was the staff who bent over backwards to ensure that my stay in Zagreb was well planned out and interesting. While most hostels would have just sent me somewhere else to find the information I needed they took the initiative looking up information or making calls.

We were made very welcome by the staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Zagreb... Would definitely stay here again.

Such a nice atmosphere! We had less than 24 hours in Zagreb, but the staff made sure we enjoyed ourselves, by directing us where to go and what to see, even offering advice for our trip beyond Zagreb. I've stayed at many hostels in Europe, and this was by far the most comfortable - beds were comfortable, sheets were clean (didn't feel gritty like most hostel sheets), rooms were well kept, and everyone was welcoming!

Went to the wrong hostel because the map at the train station still had their old location. That was our fault though! The staff was very helpful, the location was pretty good, we weren't there long enough to really get to know the city but I did enjoy the visit!

A hostel is always made good by its staff. The staff here are AMAZING!!!!! Even though they got confused with bookings, they put it right and were soooo helpful with other things. The set up of the hostel is really cool with the cafe downstairs and the bar/club in town. If I ever come back to Zagreb, I will stay here. No question. Thanks Anya, and the guy on nights - I never got your name!

Very very clean and spacious room, hot water available constantly. Always friendly and helpful staff at reception. Less than 5 mins walk from the tram station. Have supermarket, bar, cafe and bakery just next door. Lovely place!
