I'm going easy on this place because it's not in a major metro area. It has some good "character", knowledgable staff, and a nice bar with good beer prices, but the rooms are a bit cramped and dingy and our bathroom had a pretty bad mold problem. Close to the great mosque, decent location overall. Take a cab from the train station if you have a lot of stuff, otherwise the walk is quite nice (~1 mi) Overall, okay place for Cordoba. Would rate much lower if it was in a major city though.

This place is definitely "funky", but in a good way! It's by the river in Cordoba, so it's super close to the Mosque! It's the kind of place where you can hang out at the hostel and make friends, or do your own thing. The staff is young and full of energy! I'd gladly stay here again!

This used to be a fun hostel, and might still be so in high season. But now, I got the feeling upkeep was not a priority. Leaking shower wet the floor, not all lamps working, regular reception-bar being used as storage corner.. Roommates were good company though, and the info we got was very helpful.

The staff were generally very nice and helpful. The hostal and its facilities however were rundown and of poor quality. I had a pleasant stay although you for the same price, you often get hostals with better facilities. The location was excellent.

No commun room (roof closed), a very little kitchen so no opportunity to meet people. No fruit juice for breakfast

The guy at the front was very helpful and spoke good English. The free drink ticket upon arrival was a nice touch. Wi-fi was spotty and the whole building was a little bit run down, but otherwise an OK place to stay and the location was very good, just a short walk from some of the main sights.

Funky is in a very good position in the city center. Lockers are not presents, this is a bit damage, otherwise the location is correct for the price.

I did like this hostel, but it was very expensive for what you got. I've had much cheaper hostels that actually offer free breakfasts and the wifi works! The wifi only really works in the common areas, not in bedrooms. Also the bathrooms were very small and not that clean. The bunks were not very secure either. It's located right in the main area, which is great for site seeing, not so good for quietness at night time, tip - bring your ear plugs if you would like any sleep.

Bath was leaking continously. They know it but don't repair it. With all the money they win for each room they should give a decent service.

It is cheap, and the staff is very friendly; nevertheless, everything seems improvised! not the best place I've been but is good enough to come back.

It felt less taken care of than other hostels I've stayed in, and less of a community vibe. It was essentially a place to sleep. There was also a lack of outlets available for recharging things. But it was absolutely fine for a night's sleep.

It's hard to say how good this hostel was due to the terrible weather I had in Cordoba but this hostel was nice enough. Cup of tea when you arrive complimentary beer your first night. It was a bit cold inside which is how it is most places in Spain. Breakfast not included. Staff was pretty helpful. If I go back I may try somewhere else.

The location is quite good with walking distance to the Mezquita-Catedral. And you can hang out in the small square just few steps away for drinking and having food. The hostel got a pub in the ground floor and I watched a football game with roomful of local guys, stuned by their emotion and energy. My room was unexpectedly upgraded, and it's very clean and tidy. The staff there and even the owner were very helpful and offered many useful advice for my complicated journey plan.

I've stayed in several hostels in Spain and this is by far my favorite. The workers are really nice and they're all Spanish so you can practice your language skills. It's rustic but clean and there is a bar on the bottom floor that a lot of locals go to. I've found that in every hostel except this one, you're in a sort of bubble where you're not able to experience the culture of the country/city. Also, it has one of the best views of the mezquita from the terrace.

Funky, but not the way they mean. Safes present in room, but staff had lost the keys. Never any hot water. Everything that could possibly break was broken. Staff offered useless and incorrect information about the city, and seemed stoned. Had to pay extra for a private room to secure our valuables. The food in the restaurant was cheap and the room would have been had we not upgraded, but ultimately it would have been worth paying more elsewhere. Avoid like the Inquisition.

Our room was really nice painted on the wall, we liked it! We only stayed one night, but everything was fine and the atmosphere was really relaxed.
