Spacious but our room didn't have a toilet in it, it just had a big shower. The balcony was nice. Toaster hard to find for breakfast. Staff was grand and the beds were ok
Stayed only for one night. Shame the windows only open a crack in the dorms on the 1st floor - got really hot, but we were able to get a fan from reception which was very helpful. The bar was a nice place indoor/outdoor seating. Would probably come back here to stay and also recommend it to other travelers My only grudge being that we asked for a cab at the airport at 7am the evening before and there was no cab in the morning - with the reception closed, noone was around to help.

Great place. Nice breakfast and very safe! Fell more like a good hotel than a hostel!
Great hostel. Clean, safe, nice staff, all very clear. The only pitfall is the location, it is a bit far from the city centre.
Nice friendly place within reasonable walking distance of the main train stations and tourist spots. Staff member at reception wasn't the friendliest man in the world, but wasn't worthy of a bad rating in that regard. Dorms were fine, clean, secure. Washrooms were also fine, but more showers would be a welcome addition. Didn't stay long enough to use kitchen, bar or living areas and checked out before breakfast started, but was nice to know they were included! Would stay again.
No wifi in dorms (only at the lobby) was annoying. Other luggage storage, breakfast bar, clean rooms were pretty good. Also I walked to many tour spots on foot.
I loved this hostel, the staff is very good, the atmosphere was great, I met a lot of nice people in there.
Wi-fi is only available on the ground floor. There are lockers and luggage room, but no actual locks, so you have either to bring your own lock or buy one at the reception, which is highly uncomfortable. It was quite stuffy in our room, and the window can't be opened wide. The pllows and the mattresses are covered with some sort of rubber cloth, which makes it hot to sleep on, especially in summer. Otherwise a nice place, close to the metro station, and the centre is within walking distance.
The staff here is absolutely wonderful, and the hostel is located off the main streets so it's a pleasant stay at night. My biggest complaint would be the lack of wifi in the rooms and we had a few flies in our room too. Location is good, we could walk to all attractions in Brussels and only took the metro to get to the Atomium.
This hostel is FANTASTIC ! I love it ! the breakfast is awesome ! Definitely I gonna stay again !
Excellent hostel. They have everything you could possibly need. We stayed in a 3 bed private room, and had a REALLY nice bathroom. Big lockers (remember to bring a lock), free WI-FI, computers downstairs, elevator, laundry facilities, breakfast included, etc. Also loved the bar and the BBQ night. Made it real easy to meet other travellers. The staff was also really helpful. They always met you with a smile. The location is not as great as I had hoped, but hey, you have your feet for a reason.
A well-organised, comfortable hostel in a good area. Close to a metro station, with easy routes to attractions in the city. The hostel also provided good information and advice for finding our way around, and what to see. The staff responded quickly when we had a broken shower head, which was greatly appreciated.
had a really nice time staying in the hostel. The people at the reception were super nice and helpful, me and my friend also enjoyed the breakfast. Only thing you could improve are maybe the shower heads. Thank you!
Absolutely loved my stay here, rooms are big and clean, staff are amazing- very helpful, has a fully equipped kitchen and a great little bar. They also do special evenings like a bbq or waffles. The location is a bit of a walk to places but its not that far from a local shop or cash point. Would really recommend this hostel to anyone!
The electricity sockets in my room were not working. These were fixed but the light was dodgy.
I like it, it is clean and cosy place
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean and Wi-fi was also available in room. Enjoyed breakfast and the 24/7 access. It's good value for money and I would go back. Only problem was the scent in the bathroom.
They were having a power outage when I came to check it, so I couldn´t check in for a few hours, which was a bit annoying. Location is a bit far from the center. Nice bar with cheap drinks, good sized lockers in the rooms. I wish the ensuite bathroom had a toilet, not just a shower and sink.
Great hostel. Great location - close to two Metro stations. Direct bus connection with Brussels Airport (much cheaper than train). I had a room for two persons. Clean room with basic, simple furniture. Nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. I have stayed at Hostel Jacques Brel before and will try to book a room on my next visit to Brussels. Early reservation recommended. BM -Poland
