The neighbourhood of Les Marolles is said to be the most authentic part of the Belgian capital city.

If you are in the city centre, check out the central square the Grand Place, run your hand on Everard't Serclaes statue for good luck, wander the nearby streets and grab a Belgian waffle and take a picture with the world-famous Manneken Pis. North of the city centre, you’ll find one of the city’s most famous landmarks: the Atomium. Want to see Brussels off the beaten track? If you plan to explore the city centre of Brussels, your best option is probably to walk. If the weather is nice, you can also hire a bike. The city has a good public transportation system with buses, trams, the metro and trains. Brussels Midi train station connects Belgium to neighbouring countries. If you fly to Zaventem airport, there are trains every 10 minutes to the central station of Brussels.
