If you go to hiking, this Hostel is for you. The tourist trail is beginning just across the street. It's full of enthuasismed people all over the world who can share their hiking experinces, so the staff which is very helpful. And you can wash your cloths in a washing machine for 10 Zl. Chillfull place, absolutely recommended.
The owner (can't remember her name) was really nice! Although, we are not that advanced hikers/climbers, she really helped us with choosing the right tracks and make the most out of our days. This place is definitely a chill-out and good hidden place in touristic Zakopane. Would stay here again!
Over all exactly what we were after, quiet away from the centre but within walking distance, great access to Tatra National Park. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about locale. Only let down by a couple of small issues with house keeping/ maintenance.
Directions aren't completely clear if you have never been to Zakopane before. Staff didn't seem very engaged. So much mould in the showers. Easy access to the trails.
Location and type of building gives great atmosphere. Easy access especially to Tatra Mountain gate.
Overall a great experience. Despite a significant age difference I met the greatest people and had a blast.
wonderful hostel, great starting point for hiking!
Lovely group of people when I stayed here, wifi worked well, great hiking, cozy living room and nice patio.
Great location, away from the crowded city center. If you are hiking this hostel is perfect for you : there is an entrance to the national park just across the road and lots of other hikers to talk to at night. We had trouble to get around with the buses at first... Actually it is easy if you ask the drivers where to go (with the good polish pronunciation ah ah !).
Positive: This is probably my favourite hostel to date and would happily go back. It's in a great location and the staff are really helpful in recommending things to do and how to do them. This is most definitely not a party hostel, but a relaxed chilled social home like place. And there was also a really friendly resident cat. Negative: A bigger kitchen area would be very useful, as it was very small for the number of people. And more showers/WC's.
They shouldn't accept group of teenager because they are loud and mess and they must tell to another guest when it happens. My stayed was so annoying
Small hostel but has a great cosy feeling. Great location for doing hikes. Kitchen facilities, cute common room and breakfast with the basics like toast and cereal, plus tea/coffee included. Would recommend.
The staff at this hospital were extremely rude. Especially the male receptionist. I have been travelling for 9 months and this hostel is the worst. The Kitchen also did not have adequate utensils, we ended up having to cut chicken and vegetables with a butter knife. There was also no really atmosphere in the hostel.
Great place, close to the start of a trail into the mountains. Nice staff, kitchen could do with a small upgrade maybe :)
This hostel is great! It's not in the centre of Zakopane which I perceive as a huge pro! Even though my stay was very short I had a chance to talk with the staff and they're lovely, very helpful people :) cheers!
Great little hostel tucked away in the hills, awesome staff, really let you know what to do over your stay. Really clean and feels more like a cosy home than a hostel. Definitely stay here!
Really nice atmosphere and kind staff! This hostel is how a hostel should be!
Living at this hostel felt like being welcomed into someone's home - there was a great atmosphere, and it was easy to talk to the other travelers. It was amazing in every way. The only thing that felt less good were the small bathrooms and kitchen that you shared with many others; it was simply a bit cramped. But the small size of the hostel is at the same time the greatest benefit, with its cosy and hearty atmosphere.
Great hostel - in fact probably the best I have ever visited. Nice chilled atmosphere, comfy beds for a good nights sleep, amazing location. It was nice that the staff hung out with the visitors, and there was a real group feeling about the place, felt like the staff went out their way to help. You know you are somewhere special when everyone is trying to extend their stay there! We are planning our next trip...
