I had an incredible time in GBL. The name and theme are super funny. It’s kind of a cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere and yet feels incredibly warm and welcoming. The volunteers (I hope I get their names correct: Shimon (polish), super nice Ukrainian girl (I forgot her name 😭), Owen (Irish) etc.) were incredibly kind and helpful with a great knowledge of different trails and things to do. There are two lovely cats and a goat I will miss too much. It feels old but maintained with love.

Great hostel for solo travellers if you’re looking to do hikes with fellow guests, hostel has great atmosphere with different activities to offer each night, volunteers were friendly and is good value for money. Only downside is the kitchen is slightly too small and has only two stoves and which results in you having to wait longer than usual if occupied.
