This hostel is by no means a 5-star hotel. The beds are very hard and there is only one bathroom (chinese style, combined shower and toilet). However, I would still happily recommend it to (especially young) travelers as it offers great value for money. The location is great (right next to the metro), there are individual security lockers in the rooms and the owners are friendly (however, they do not speak English). There is also a cat, which is very sweet and playful.

big cities in china work this way. a paintor changed his appartement in a youth hostel stuffing all the romms with bunckle beds. don't expect anything beautifull. this is a cheap way to be for a reasonnable price in guaghzhou. a small part of the staff can speak english. and do what they can to give you a hand around this big city. AHHHH, find the place by reaching the KFC then walk along the building for 50 metres until you find a gate with guards. show them you adress then.
Really hard to find. There is no sign and no detailed directions. I had to leave a deposit but not sure what the deposit is for as you aren't given a key.
