Even though this hostel might not be smack in the city center it is easy to get to. The staff were friendly and always willing to help

Great english speaking staff that were very helpful. They gave us detailed directions to the hostel from narita after a long flight. Location was relatively close to the Shinagawa station so that travel around Tokyo was made easier. Rooms were a bit small, but manageable. All in all a good place.

This hostel was in a great location and the staff was super helpful. My main complaint is that I booked a room that was apparently listed wrong. I wish they had contacted me about it before their rooms had filled up and let me change my booking. My sister and I were booked into a tiny room that was either meant for a couple (sharing a bed) or a single person. It wasn't terrible, but with two travelers, it was a bit cramped.

A lovely guesthouse in a very convenient position: it is located in a charming little street, with a supermarket and post office just a few steps away and Shinagawa train station at only 15 minutes by foot. The staff is very friendly and the place spotless clean!

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The staff were always really friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the opportunity to make an onigiri breakfast and learn about other foods in Japan! The area is lovely too and close to two train stations. We would definitely stay again!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Bathroom / toilet facilities poor. No cozy kitchen or place to cook (but: microwave and water heater available in corridor)

The location is great, and the staff are very friendly and helpful - however the hostel has no atmosphere! Solo travellers will struggle as the common area is closed for most of the day, tiny and even when open, quite dead.

Pretty bare bones but good for when you need to get to Haneda Airport really early.

Guest House Shinagawa was a great place to stay! Loved the experience of sleeping in a Japanese-style tatami room! The bathrooms were surprisingly clean, to my surprise, because there were only two of them and so many people living in the house. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Tokyo!
