Great place, although the guy that's sometimes at the door doesn't seem too pleased with you presence. Oh, and don't be fooled, they'll charge taxes and etc, so it'll be $32 for the cheepest bed.

I wish I knew there were lockers in the rooms, I paid $5 for the ones downstairs then went to my room. This is a great hostel though, loved the common areas, beds and rooms were roomy. Thank you.

Big, airy, clean contemporary, cool hostel. Loved being able to walk to the beach in 5 mins, dorms nothing spectacular but nice....and I liked all the different little communal areas dotted around the bottom floors....nailed the hostel experience!

I liked the location but the staff were a little rude when I needed information. The place was well kept and maintained, lots for the guests to do. Good wifi and lots of computers to use. The kids running around bugged ma a little. The two guys in my room stank to high heaven, they need to open a window. That really ruined my stay. Hair all over my bed. So gross. Didn't stay the second night purely due to the stentch. The male bathroom was also pretty terrible. Good for a night or two.

Free luggage storage while I was waiting for my plane would've been nice but overall a very secure and well layed out hostel, giving the illusion that it's not as big as it actually is! Also nice and close to the beach :)

And some comments about my stay there. What to keep doing: The breakfast is very good. what to fix: Some staff can not understand international guests'English phone calling. what to add to make the hostel the best: To make the airport shuttle booking 24hours available. I stayed in your hostel from Dec.27th-30th, Room 301-02(ELS).I enjoy the time there. I left an adaptor(white, small square form, only three holes,on the wall)and a knit woolly hat(dark green). I called the front desk about that

It's a good place you can go to the beach in 10 min by walking. But little bit far away to downtown LA and Hollywood, you need to take bus like 30 to 45 min. Right next to the hostel there is a tourist agency which will offer special discount if you stay here. Staff service is good also. The only thing which I don't like is you can't get wifi in your room, only in first and second floors and the speed of internet was so so slow especially in the night....

Good location where you can enjoy sunset and sunrise everyday. And there are a lot of interesting activities. The only complaint is about the noise.Every night there is a lot of noise outside my room. But overall,it's a good choice to stay there.

If you are not a HI member the price you pay is different from the one you are said when you book. They charge you $3 more for every night. It'squite a boring place. You can't even drink a beer in the hostel. Some people live in there and the room I was staying in was totally messed up.

Beautiful hostel, very well-located (close to 3rd street promenade, next to the beach). They give lots of info on how to get places, etc.

was a great experience and a wonderful hostel. the only think I think they could improve on is having an age barrier as the old generation that came in on my extended made it awkward and uncomfortable when sitting in common rooms.

Nice hostel in nice place but lacking a bit of atmosphere. Lack of bar or drinking area means that socialising in the hostel is minimal, when I was there everyone seemed to be isolated and sat on their laptops the whole time, making it difficult to talk to and meet new people.

Breakfast should have stayed longer until 10:30 not 9:30 I think, and everyone in my room was charged more than originally quoted which we were all abit unhappy about. And I didn't get the Gold Card that I paid for or the discounts it's meant to get you, so that was a waste of $10.
