very clean rooms, friendly staff. would definitely stay here again if I come back in Siem Reap. We arrange tours with them and they even knock on the door to make sure we are ready so that we can leave on time. Their food is relatively cheaper and cleaner compared to other restos outside.
When you come to Siem Reap and find such an amazing place, you need to tell everyone!! Staff: the best in the world!!! Ask them the best options to see around, including Angkor. They will definitely take good care of you! The best tuk tuk drivers are here;) and also the best prices and the best moments;) The atmosphere is really great! This is so nice that you won't be happy to leave ;)
we enjoyed our time at HI. its a good value for foreigners with a foreigner budget. however some things are much cheaper right next door. especially water. you probably know your pipes need to be replaced, the water smells like metal. we loved all the staff! you are all very kind and helpful. okun!
Excellent hostel. Very good location. Nice atmosphere. Good breakfast menu. I also met many nice people there. I absolutely enjoyed my stay there. The only thing would be the tap water as it does have a very funny taste to it (rust). Hopefully they can do something about that.
Pros: very nice staff, very helpful, arranged very friendly tuck tuck driver Richard for us. Breakfast was nice. Free wlan and internet, great. Cons: The room was fan only and on the ground floor so no opening the window during the night and very very hot (it wasn"t that clear through this website why one room was cheaper, so book the more expensive one for AC). I'd recommend cleaning a little better in the rooms.
We loved our stay at HI Siem Reap. The staff is very helpful and a lot of fun. As many others already wrote, the water there smells metallic, so give your laundry at another place best before you visit Siem Reap, but thats really not the fault of HI Siem Reap. Go there and enjoy your stay!
Very good location--just a short stroll will take you through a more local-oriented market and from there, downtown and Pub Street. Staff are friendly, rooms are pretty nice and cleaned daily upon request. Always a ton of people hanging out out front, whose affiliation with the hostel is unclear. Breakfast is not included and is frankly not worth the price--better food in town. We asked the hostel to book us a minibus to Bangkok, which was a terrible experience--very cramped and uncomfortable.
Everything was superb except for one when i asked the staff to clean our room and he forgot it. but he apologized so everything went well. Staff are great, you won't feel that you are away from home. It was the best choice for us.

Enjoyed staying here in a private triple room with en suite. Really nice, spacious and clean rooms (despite the bright green walls!). The staff were helpful and cheery. Useful local information in welcome pack. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely go back.
Best thing about this place is the staff! Rooms are clean. Good place to meet other people.

The hotel is in a pretty good location just across the river from Pub Street and within biking distance from the Angkor Archaeological Park. The staff were awesome and really willing to help book transportation. They do have lockers on site for valuables, but you have to bring your own lock. They don't have a luggage storage room and instead luggage sits in the lobby for anyone to touch/take. Overall a great hostel--I would definitely go back.
Wonderful staff (say hello to Happy George), excellent location (directly across the narrow street from a night market and a 2 minute walk to pub street), nice clean rooms, good cheap food, great happy hour (2 dollar pitchers!) We had a great stay and I'll definitely stay here again.
The rudest staff I came across travelling , one in particular named John who is managing the reception. I booked a morning bus to Bangkok from another place. He refused to help me make phone call to my pick up, and also laughed at my face when I the driver showed up late. Aggressive and rude STAY AWAY !!!! Disgusting behaviour , not civilised and disrespectful. They should be ashamed of themselves .Would never come back to this hostel, I would rather sleep on the street. Beds are not comfortabl
Very friendly staff and excellent location, decent food, they have free Coffee during breakfast even though its premix. Definitely recommended
Nice hostel, great location and really nice staff. Worth noting though the buses they sell to bangkok don't take 8 hours as advertised, it's more like 12, not the hostels fault though.
had a great experience at this hostel. The staff is nice and helping and the people I met there were great. We hang out at the outside table every night. Beer is cheap but good and the rooms were clean. Pub Street is just a three minute walk away. If you are going to Siem Reap, this is defenetily the place to stay!
A grea place to stay in Siem Reap, with easy going and helpful staff. only a couple minutes walk to the down town, but far enough away that you can escape it. It is very easy to meet other travelrs and share information, or a beer.
