Really really lovely bunch of staff. Some nice areas to relax in. I had a really comfortable spacious dorm with balcony and double sized bunk bed, but unfortunately got relocated to a small dark dingy cramped room for my last night due to renovation works - so beware which room you get. Also - laundry service poor. 3 days later I got back some damp clothes - if you're reading, please can you forward on the rest of my clothes!!!!
Massive respect for physically waking me up for my bus at 6am when I was way too drunk/hungover to function. Really cool place and easy to meet travellers, thanks a lot!
This hostel has a fantastic location, just a minute or two walk from Pub Street. They have all sorts of helpful information about local tours in Siem Reap, other places in Cambodia, and even information on how to get back to places like Bangkok. They can provide their own Tuk Tuk drivers (which is cheaper than bargaining with someone on the street). I stayed in the 6 person dorm, and would definately stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a good common area to relax in and meet people. The location is very close to the market, night bazzar and pub street and it is very easy to book tours with the staff for anything that you want to do.
Nice place to stay with lots of friendly faces! But the water smelt horrendous!
This place is run by a bunch of young Khmer who are very friendly and really made me feel welcome. My private room was top notch, very comfy and clean. The hostel is located close to the night market and city center where you can buy loads of stuff or enjoy good food. The common area has a pool and a billiard table, beer is cheap and you will easily meet lots of people. The hostel will also organize trips to Angkor Wat, tickets to Phnom Penh, or Bangkok. Would stay there again for sure!
A great guest house- clean and helpful friendly staff. Also a great location. We would recommend the pick up service if you're arriving into Siem Reap late- the other tuk tuk drivers at the bus depo are very pushy, we were delighted to see our driver even though we were 1.5 hours late.
Siem Reap is a party town. HI Hostel is a short walk over the river, away from the thumping Pub Street, which can be quite good. The night market next door is good and the hostel can arrange tuk-tuks and bikes for hire to visit the temples. The main downside is that there's not a lot of 'buzz' at the hostel. Easy enough to get a conversation going but no real 'social' vibe. Fine place to stay, but don't expect the party to follow you home.
This place is just about right what you need. It has the right amount of social and relaxation. the main disadvantages I encountered were the fact that the bed I slept in was just right next to the air con, so it was either too hot (if I switched it off) or too cold. It is not the best place to eat, but I suppose that is not the main purpose of a hostel anyway.
It may be a few more dollars than some other backpackers but HI hostels are worth it. Super clean, AC on all the time not just at night (grate after a long day climbing over temples) and helpful staff. The atmosphere is excellent for solo travelers and the location is quite at night but just a short walk from all the activity. Would stay here again for sure.
One of our most amazing hostel experiences. The guys working here really do their best to make sure you have a great stay. The atmosphere is really friendly and meeting other travelers is easy. The location is also really good - just away from the madness that is central Siem Reap but only a short walk through the decent night market. All in all we had a great time playing pool and of course watching Andy Murray win Wimbledon.
Very good location, right next to the night market. Friendly staff that arranged a lot of our activities Clean and great food also
The hostel was great, especially the staff. The tours offered were great and a decent price. The rooms were very clean and the food was good and inexpensive. Great place.
The staff were amazing .. incredibly helpful and always cheerful! For what we paid our room great .. very tidy. The hostel was super close to everything.. they set up tuk tuks for the temples for cheap, and you can post and share tuk tuks with others if you want! Also there a place to hire bicycles for cheap very close by!

Great place to stay! Social, close to fun places to go out, nice staff. You can organize a tour of Angkor wat with the hostels tuk tuk drivers for $13 a day. Theres even a whiteboard you can write on to try to find someone to split the cost with. The rooms are clean, the beds are more comfortable than any I've experienced in SE Asia. A/c is always cold. In house food is decent and affordable. They even pick you up from the airport! Really, no complaints whatsoever.
I had a very good experience here. Friendly, knowledgeable and honest staff. The tuk tuk drivers are the same. I was able to meet some very nice people here, as well. The common area is conducive to making friends with fellow travelers. Finally, the facilities are very satisfactory. Good bed, good shower, good food.
