Not a good hostel. The rooms are really small and old. No living room, so don't expect to meet people. The facilities are not dirty (but I wouldn't say there are clean) but it is such a mess! The shower does not work. The bed and the pillow are awful. Noisy because of the street. The owners are nice, but the guy kept asking if he could take pictures of me, which can be quite scary if you're a woman traveling alone like me. Besides he likes to play the guitare, which is not fun at 2am.

We had a great time! The Captain was wonderful and really ended up creating such memorable experience for us. His place is right by the beach too. And the seafood he cooked was delicious!

This hostel is very different than expected. It does not have a common room. The owner is very nice, but overbearing and a bit invasive. The bathrooms are some of the most cramped and dirtiest I have seen in China. The ceilings are so low that we had to crouch. We checked out early because the room was so cramped that we could not stretch our feet out across the beds; the walls were so thin that we could hear everyone else; the walls do not connect to the ceiling so light flooded into the room.

Nice owners and it had a unique, nautical theme to it, but I left early because the room was too cramped, there was no heating (except an electric blanket), there was no shower on site, and the toilet area was rather putrid and smelled awful. The place needs work.
