Good Place with a good cause. Money goes to the disabled children's foundation that's attached to the hotel. The girls that work there couldn't be sweeter. We got a little wine on the sheets and instead of just leaving, I was honest and the owner tried to charge us an extra $20, they were paper thin, old and really cheap. We could have bought nice sheets for them for less, felt like we got screwed over until we told them we'll just write it in the review which then they charged us $10.
The people of Heart of Bhaktapur guest house are probably the nicest we met in Nepal. We even had an excellent city guide walk with the guest house host. The room is modest but very clean with hot water and nice breakfast. Definitely worth 5 stars!!! Stas & Anna

We stayed at Heart of Bhaktapur for 4 nights. It is a welcoming guest house with friendly and helpful staff: assisting us with directions around the town, arranging laundry and ordering taxis. Breakfast is included in the price and is of a high standard. Interestingly the guest house is run as a social business, with all profit channeled into running a local school. A number of the international volunteers stay at the hotel and can tell you all about the project.
