I would definately stay at this hostel again. Rooms are spacious, bed extremely confortwble. The atmosphere is quite cool, the coomon areas and the patio are unbeatable meeting-points for backpackers! i had a great time! only thing to remark negatively is the manager's reaction in certain situations...is she on hard s*** 24/7? i believe so!!

Great place to find people to hang out with. A larger restroom/shower area would be nice. Sometimes the cards would have trouble unlocking the doors. Other than that highly recommend.

I paid for a twin room ensuite through Hostel world but the room only has a shower and I had to use the shared toilets outside. I felt cheated as that was not what ensuite meant. Although I was given a refund of 10% by the hostel, the point is that I would not have booked a room with Heart of Gold at all as they DO NOT have true ensuite rooms. Hostel world has misled me. I cannot reccomend this hostel enough. It's right next to a city rail station and a great cheap resturant. And it's the best price I've ever been able to find a hostel for. On top of it all it's Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy themed. Again, I cannot reccomend this hostel enough.

Pretty good overall, but the rooms would benefit from some darker curtains that covered the whole windows.

Really awesome place to stay. Lots and lots of travellers and people to meet, good vibe. Pretty much perfect location. As others have mentioned no wifi in rooms but honestly if you're on holiday you shouldn't be hiding up in your room browsing the web anyway.

Staff gets kind of grumpy if it gets busy and when I was arriving I was waiting about 10 minuets to be served even if there was just one other guy filling in a questionnaire

a very good located hostel. close to the city centre and Alexanderplax. The only bad thing is that there is no kitchen. But the overall impression is very good. You can meet friendly people easy to speak and buy cheap beers. Very good.

Enjoyed our stay at this hostel. The staff were friendly enough and there was a good social area. Shame about only having wifi in the communal area.

This was a great hostel! I loved my stay here, everything was super clean especially for being a 40 person room! The bar/lounge offers a great space to meet people, and it is located right in the heart of a super artsy area. I loved this hostel! The staff could be a little rude at times, but overall it was worth it considering the cleanliness of the rooms.

This was a good hostel in a great location. Within walking distance of major attractions and the main train station HBF.

The shower hose could not be fixed to the wall, so you had to hold it while taking a shower. There were not enough lockers for everybody in the room. Location is great. Near the city center. Free wifi but only at the reception.

It was a good hostel, will stay again. The 8 beds room had a lot of noise from the hall, toilets and rooms downstairs, because it had no door. The room had also low security as everyone in the rooms below could go in. Nice with lockers and padlocks to borrow for free :)

Has the potential to be very nice. Had more of a mass production feel than a personal feel. Need wifi in the rooms! Room was comfortable and clean, but very loud at night. With the mass amount of people staying there it just wasn't possible to get them to respect quiet times. Good location though, and good price for what you get. However, free breakfast should be included.
