I loved the feel of this place- great location and really feels like you're getting the value for your money. This was our first stay in Berlin and the whole feel from 'Heart of Gold' was genuine- not too into itself. I LOVED the 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' theme of the hostel. Wished Hostel roommates would have worn more clothes but... somethings can't be helped.

Not my favorite hostel. A huge party crowd here. There's always someone yelling in the hallways at night time or stumbling in drunk. The hostel workers always seem busy and a bit stressed out. They are still very polite. If you're looking for a pleasant stay and some shut eye, look elsewhere. If you want to hit up some parties in Berlin, this might be the spot for you.

The days I spent there were very nice. Everybody was kind and polite. They have good rooms, good staff, and good internet! hahaha... I really enjoyed my stay.

If you want to have fun five days in Berlin it's fine: the bar is cool and you will meet a lot of people. However, if you're backpackers travelling around, it's poor: got no kitchen, fridge and towels. Wifi is working quite bad in the common space and you don't have it in your rooms. Think about it.

My card to enter the dormytory didnt work at all, I´ve aked twice at the reception to solve the problem, but it did not help. Fortunately the card of my friend worked.

Nice hostel, good atmosphere. I was traveling alone and this hostel made it easy to make friends since there is a bar at the reception. The only thing is that in my room, there wasn't enought curtains to cover all the windows (lots of windows) so in the morning the sun at 7, and I couldnt sleep! But it's the only thing, the rest was perfect!

The bed was really uncomfortable/didn't have much cushioning. It was fine for me, but I could see that as being a problem for a lot of other people. You couldn't get wi-fi in the rooms so you always had to go to the bar just to check e-mails. My biggest complaint would be that there aren't even enough lockers for everyone in the room. And the ones that were free, were all broken. Luckily, the staff can keep your stuff behind the desk but it's a bit of a pain to deal with to always have to ask.

Great hostel! Really good location. They really do have all this art atmosphere, and there's a good bar downstairs. The rooms are spacy enough and have this cool big-big windows. Actually can't think of anything disturbing. Wi-fi is only in the lobby but as I said there's a good bar and there's always a chance to meet some interesting people from all over the world. By the way they have free tea/coffee and that's nice :)
