Good location but that's about it, not a bad hostel just not a good one either.

Mixed feelings about this joint. On the plus side, it's cheap, clean and in a great location. Besides that though, it's noisy, mattresses are paper thin and it really has no character. If all you're after is a cheap bed in a great location, it's perfect. If you're looking for a fun environment, nightly parties and a bunch of freebies, spend an extra 10 bucks and stay at Vibe hostel, up the road.

The place is very dirty! Stain on the carpet everywhere, smell very bad! The staff don't want to help you! But the location is very good! Right in front of Dolby theatre and the holywood walk of fame! The Bathroom are very nice and big! If you're just looking for a place to sleep it will do the job! The breakfast is suppose to be included but it isn't!

it is right center of the hollywood.location is amazing..

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hollywood International Hostel - one step out of the door and we were standing right on the Walk of Fame. On the opposite side the Hollywood & Highland Shopping Mall which was an excellent opportunity to have a good dinner! Staff could be a little friendlier and at least say "hi" or "bye". But we only stayed 2 nights so we didn't have high expectations and were happy to have a hostel with such a great location :)

I think electric oulet is very a few. But regarding price, i think of hollywood youthhostel as very good.

It is the best place to see Hollywood, but...

They didn't want give me my 5$ for the key beacuse they haven't change and they toll me go to change/ Was 20$ not too much money for change. Somebody use my towel.

The location and the shower were great! The rest was awful. Very dirty, messy and with bad mood staff. I stayed there with my girlfriend and her sister, we all hated it. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Great location!

It's not a bad hostel, but its not somewhere I would stay as a traveler. The people are closed off, not open-minded, and most importantly not travelers. The staff is typical of Hollywood and not very helpful unless money is involve. I met only one person from India whom I would consider an actual traveler and it was very rewarding sharing experiences. The rest of the people here haven't done much traveling outside of traveling to typical clubs/bars, traveling to the makeup or shoe store.

only location is good. other things are bad, especially, security is very very very bad...

Other than the location, i didnt find it value for money. The shared bathrooms were terrible as the curtain wasnt fixed well and the water flow has problem. Other hostel did provide free breakfast but this doesnt. The kitchen isnt facilatec as well as the dining place. What's more i lost a shirt in the hostel.

The hostel ITSELF is just an average cheap place to crash, but the location for the price makes it absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this place for that reason alone... just don't expect much more than that.

You need to reconsider the way you deal with customers. There is much disrespect on the part of the staff!!!!!

It is whorted to book this hostel just if you're going for the Oscars' night. Otherwise it doesn't make sense. There are cheaper and nicer places in both Hollywood and West Hollywood. You meet nice people there but that's all.

You couldn't pick a better hostel for the Oscars (Red carpet views, really exclusive)! Apart from that, this hostel is not the nicest place to stay. Some strange people are hanging about (including two of the older guys from the reception who like the young women a bit too much). It's really central if you want to see Hollywood, but I wouldn't recommend to stay longer than a few days. The kitchen is a mess. Apart from all this, the free coffee is definitely a plus!

Excellent location....just it. The staff is not friendly. I think They clean the room once a week, there is no Wi-Fi inside the some rooms, and the connection is poor.

Great location, nothing else. The place smells and noisy music every night till very late up to 2am. Great place for party animals and people who just want great location and minimal sleep.

best location in front of the metro station and the famous chinese theatre. the staff is great and sometimes the hostel organize parties for us. cheaper than a lot of another hostels in los angeles and specially in downtown.
