Alessandra was very welcoming and friendly, coffee was good. Bit expensive compared to other accommodation in the area.

Good hostel, firiendly and helpful staff, warm bedroom, pretty good breakfast. For a meal try Ahonikenk, av Martin Guermes No 23. A beefsteak there does for two, excellent atmosphere and value for money.

The hostess is very nice. However, her English is not the best. But she tries to talk to us. The hostel is on the western edge of the town. Not too far from the bus terminal, maybe 15 minutes walk on a flat pavement. Breakfast is good: hot toasted bread and croissant. Slow though.

Our family of 4 had the family room, with a bunkbed and a matrimonial. The room was spotless, had a small desk, and good lighting. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and modern with nice towels and shampoo/soap provided. Breakfast was plentiful. The room did have a door to the kitchen/family area, so the family could be heard, but it wasn't a problem. There is a small book exchange and I actually found something that I wanted to read. WiFi was slow but worked in the room.

This is a good hostel, with welcoming staff and good breakfast. Room was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, near the centre but quiet & the views are better on this side of the town. El Chalten is expensive so whilst I've rated VFM as good, it simply reflects that, rather than comparisons with standard hostel prices elsewhere. As mentioned in another review, access to a kettle for coffee during the day would be a good idea.

We traveled for 3 weeks through Patagonia and of all the places we stayed this was probably our favourite. Alejandra was very friendly (and patient with my poor Spanish skills!) and helped us organise a lot-she recommended walking trails, called taxis for us, had our laundry done and even rang ahead to another town to try and organise a tour for us. She is always ready to joke and have a laugh and made us feel at home. The room was perfect and great to return to after a long day of walking. A++

We LOVED this place! The woman who runs it is incredibly friendly and SO helpful!! She happily drew us a detailed map of the best places to go out, and spent over an hour answering all of our questions. She also called restaurants on our behalf to arrange new year's reservations. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and come with clean bedding and towels. We could even see The FItz from our window! A lovely, amicable atmosphere! Only downside to facilities--no kitchen.

really great room, in good nick, nice bed, clean bathroom, quiet and secure. really lovely owners (with no english but SO friendly). couldn't really ask for more as long as you're not after a wild party every night but want somewhere clean and comfortable to come back to after a long day in the mountains where you're made to feel welcome.
