Good: clean warm rooms, excellent breakfast, great wifi. Bad: common areas were outdoors, cold and smelled of cat . Breakfast room had screen walls, so also cold. 2 bathrooms; one was in the office and locked out of hours (fun when 3 dorms all need them), the other reeked of cat piss and did not have hot water on 2 mornings (we left early for Uyuni without showering). Toilets only in the bathrooms. Awkward staff. There was a fire pit, clearly unused with trash lying around, not inviting.

This is a great place and we wish we had stayed here the whole time we were in san Pedro. We think it was the nicest place we have stayed in the past 4 months. Room we had was great with a lovely bathroom and a superb shower! It is a little further out of town 10mins walk but it is nice and quieit because of this. Owner was fantastic and stopped to pick us up when he drove past us in town! This is place is more than worth the price. Treat yourself and stay here! Oh breakfast was good as wel

We had a really great stay at this hostel, the owner was extremely helpful and we liked the fact it was a little out of the ordinary. We would stay here again, but the 10 minute walk to the town may not suit others.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostal. Mario made us feel really welcome and gave us great recommendations for tour agencies and restaurants. Thanks Mario, we made it to Bolivia!

The owner is very friendly, and went out of his way to assist us with parking. Always greeted with a smile, and happy to show us on the map where to go. WiFi is excellent, and the room had a table too which was nice.

The hostal overall was shabby, while it is in the desert and you'd expect it to be dusty no effort was made to clean and maintain the courtyard area. The shared bathrooms were only cleaned once per day which because of the sand meant they were muddy after the first shower and muddy all day long for everyone else. location is right on the edge of town, there are much better located hostals in the centre. Over priced.

Owner Comment (Hide)

Everything was more or less as expected, except for the four-bed bedroom, which is really a double bed plus two sigle beds. So two persons have to share a double bed, and this was not expected. Breakfast is excellent. Location is not perfect but is 10 min from the town center. There is a minimarket at 50 mts from the Hostal, which is very good.
