The hostel was about 10 minutes away from the center, but it was nice to stay somewhere a little away from the crowds. The rooms were clean and getting towels plus a very nice breakfast each day was definitely a plus. Miriam the owner was very accomodating and let us store our stuff the day we left before our transfer an take showers too. The only negative thing was that in the evening and night there you could hear many dogs barking . The kitchen entrance has a strong cat smell.

Lovely local run family business. It was 10 minutes out of town but we really like that! Warm comfy beds, chill out hammocks and locked away from the main street.

Had a fantastic time staying here after travelling from Bolivia. Don't be put off by the negative reviews. Muriel and Ivania were wonderful - they made us so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. We were upgraded to a larger room as they were quiet when we arrived. Rooms and Bathroom comfortable and clean and they provided an excellent breakfast! Location is a 10 minute (if that) stroll from the centre. Thanks Muriel - from the English Mum and Daughter.

After travelling in the salt flats and taking a sweaty bus across the border we finally arrived in the town. The tourism office was closed for a holiday, so we borrowed a map, asked a couple of tour agencies, several local people and even two other hostels/hotels - no-one knew where this hostel was. One guy google mapped it for us - causing us to walk twenty minutes in the wrong direction. We ended up giving up and staying in a hostel in the middle of town. If you stay here have directions ready

Our host was very lovely and extremely helpful during our stay. However owing to average prices in San Pedro coupled with a public holiday the hotel was twice as much as we have paid for any other accomodation in Chile. There was no private bathroom and the facilities were generally quite poor. We purposefully paid over the odds for something we would be comfortable with and were disappointed. Thankfully we spent most of our time on day trips and as such didn't need to spend much time here.

Need more facilitéis, but is quite cheap and the owner is willing to make yout stay as confortable as be posible.
