+ lovely accomodation in the midst of the desert - very calm and good access to the city (10 min of walking) + we had a private 3 bedroom - very nice and clean with lockers provided + showers and bathroom excellent - warm water at all times and always clean + kitchen that can be used for own cooking with all the things necessary + amazing breakfast (scrambled eggs, fresh bread, smoothie etc.) - cats and dogs in the premises - can smell after pee - they do not go into the rooms though

Great place! If I ever go back to Atacama, I'll definitely stay there again. The owner, Miriam, is super helpful and charismatic. I stayed in a private bedroom with my boyfriend and it was very clean, comfortable and peaceful. Shared bathroom is also very clean and so is the kitchen. I wish I could have stayed longer to really appreciate the place, cause its area is very calm and pleasant.

We enjoyed the 6 nights we spent at hostal candelaria. We were only planning on staying 4 but after moving to a supposed nice hotel we hated into much we went back to the hostal for two more nights. Highly recommended!

Our host was amazing and dropped us off at the bus terminus for no charge. The breakfast was homely and nice too. The bathroom was shared and we needed to co-ordinate to make it on time for our tours, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. No AC but it was very comfortable the couple of nights in summer we spent there.

It was great to stay by Miriam. She always is helpful. If something doesn’t work she fix it. Place is ca 10 minutes to go to the center. But this was perfect, because the center of San Pedro is always busy. To stay by Miriam was quite. A perfect place to relax, e.g. after same tours in the dessert.

We stayed here for 3 nights. At first we were dissapointed because the owner did not speak english at all. But later when we conversed with her in broken spanish, she was extremely helpful and actually a v kind lady. This is not an all serviced hostel, it is more like a home away from home. You will not get a lot of services whcih are considered bare minimum but she will make you feel at home and welcomed.

We enjoyed our stay in Hostal Candelaria. The host / staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast nice and the facilities clean. The place is a bit outside of the bustle of the center, what we enjoyed. It is an about 10min walk to the center and there is light in the night. There are dogs and a cat living in the hostal and they are all very friendly.

Beautiful little hostel. If you're looking for peace and quiet this is the place to be in San Pedro. Just a 10 minute walk from the centre and has a shop 2 mins up the road. It has everything you need. Run by a little Chilean woman who speaks no English, we were still able to communicate with her! She even made us all a packed breakfast the night before check out as we were leaving very early for the Salt Flats tour. Would definitely return if was ever back in town! Superb.

We had a wonderful experience here! The hostel is clean and quiet, located about 10 minutes outside of town. The area felt very safe, even walking home at night. The owner is a wonderful host and will go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable. Breakfast is absolutely wonderful, much higher than normal hostel standards. I would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast ist GREAT! Fresh orange juice and fresh fruit! The Staff was very nice and even drove us to the Busstation! Thank you!

The hostel was about 10 minutes away from the center, but it was nice to stay somewhere a little away from the crowds. The rooms were clean and getting towels plus a very nice breakfast each day was definitely a plus. Miriam the owner was very accomodating and let us store our stuff the day we left before our transfer an take showers too. The only negative thing was that in the evening and night there you could hear many dogs barking . The kitchen entrance has a strong cat smell.
