Miriam was very knowledgeable of all aspects of the town; not sure if she'll be as hospitable if you speak only in English as we spoke entirely in Spanish and I could tell she appreciated it. Facilities were great given the desert location - hot water, equipped kitchen, breakfast of fresh juice, bread, EGG! and yogurt, regularly-cleaned bathroom. Comfy private room. If you want to be middle of the "action" so to speak, the location mightn't be right for you (10min walk, quiet residential area)
The nicest thing about this hostel is the breakfast. It was really good with every day fresh juice, bread, eggs, yogurt!! The location was 10/15 minute walk from center. But the road was very dark by night. The next time I should take a hostel in the center. The room and bathroom are clean but in the common place/garden there are a lot of animals which smells a lot. So you have to like animals otherwise it's not a good place to stay. The is hot water but very poorly, only in the morning.
The room was comfortable and clean as was the kitchen area but there is a strong smell of cat wee in communal areas including the bathroom. The menagerie of animals for us were good entertainment (although they could do with a bath) but some may not like it. The owners were always helpful and kind and left you to it. Breakfast was one of the best we have had! The walk was not a hassle as in San Pedro nothing is far!
Really lovely hostel. Pros: Very clean! Great filling breakfast. Fast wifi Great kitchen facilities. Nice garden to chill out on a hammock. Cons: A bit of a walk from town, especially in the heat.
The staff is very friendly and know about all good companys in San Pedro wer you can go to do adventures also Salar Uyuni. The room was very clean only we had a little bit sand from outside on the flor. The breakfast was wounderful we had every day a different plate. Wie had a nice Star. Tank you for all.
Pros: The owners were really great--quite helpful, flexible and attentive. The daily breakfasts were filling and included a varying selection of breads, spreads, and local fruits. The property was cool, too, with all the hammocks, the shaded areas, and ample seating space. Cons: Hot water was unpredictable and didn't last long enough for showers. Dishes, cabinets, and refrigerator weren't very clean. Sometimes, supplies (toilet paper, dish soap) wouldn't be resupplied without some prompting.
Very nice and helpful owners, decent breakfast, clean, cozy and comfortable bedroom. Is a bit of a walk from the centre of the village but we didn't mind it.
A very funky place with a great vibe. Mario is a great host. The pluses far outweigh a little discomfort and inconvenience.

The breakfast is really great. The owners are really nice. It's a little bit far of the centre, a 10 minute walk. But it's okay. A pick up at arriving was with the backpack a good welcome. We had a double room and in front it had a shadow terrace. We recommend this place.
great little hostel, we haven't stayed in a hostel in a long time but for the price the location was excellent, we even got picked up from the bus station, and the breakfast was great! served your food at the table like a restaurant. lots of animals which we didn't mind but some people may do. We didn't have an ensuite room so sharing bathroom was an outdoor facility. not ideal but in the end not a big hassle either. is nice and quiet. clean for such a dusty town. great stay!
Kind, friendly and helpful staff, and a good location in a quiet street, not very far from the centre of town. Nice common areas and an excellent breakfast. But, one of the pet dogs howling and barking continuously for 45 minutes in the middle of the night is not any fun for anyone, especially those planning to get up at 4am for a trip. Also, some rooms have pillows that are virtually solid and really not suitable for sleeping on.
The hostel is awesome!!! The room is fresh, the water is hot and the breakfast is really really good. It's a 15' walk from the city centre but it doesn't make that much of a difference. During the day one can chill on their courtyard and at night you can see the stars very well (by the way, San Pedro has the most amazing sky you'll ever see in your life). Mario and Miriam are very nice people. They treat you as if you were family. I would definately stay here once again.
within the san pedro scenario, this place´s facilities are just like any other hostel in san pedro, the only thing i did not like was the walk to the small center of san pedro, its not far, but when you do it under the hot sun of the desert, is not really pleasent.
the hostal was great. Mario and his wife, the owners, were so helpful!it was amazing. Really. Never before I had such a high quality in a hostal despite having travelled quite a lot.
