We are Hostal CasArte Takubamba, where you can rest, share with many people from all over the world who are staying at the hostel, and also enjoy the current avant-garde Bolivian artistic production in our Cultural Café and Art Gallery. We are located in the historic center of the city, four blocks from the main square of Sucre. Welcome!

• 💵 Cash (Recommended): We accept US Dollars, Euros, or Bolivianos (Bs.). If you wish to pay in Bolivianos, the official exchange rate of the day according to the Central Bank of Bolivia will apply.

They claim the hostelworld deposit you paid doesn’t go to them so you have to pay it again ontop of the outstanding payment. They also will charge 30% more if you want to pay in local currency. Nowhere in their policy or hostel world policy does it say they are allowed to do this. They moved us half way through our stay and had us split up as a group despite booking 3 beds in one room for 3 nights. Our last room had a mouldy wall which was flaking off. Not enough showers, always a queue.
