Hostelworld site indicated the hostal would accept credit cards, but no.... only cash accepted at check in. Be prepared! Otherwise our stay was nice. Strong WiFi, secure accommodations and nice staff.

The location was pretty good as it was in the historic center of town and right along La Rambla. I also liked that I had a sink in my room. The staff were okay, but a bit pushy and nosy. And the 3 Euro breakfast isn't that great.

Amazing location! Very clean rooms. We got a room with bathroom although we booked a room with shared bathroom. Breakfast is not included, costs 3 EUR and is very good value for money. Only two minor shortcomings: WiFi is only available in the lobby and the rooms are a little noisy (noise from the street). Overall, I strongly recommend the hostel.

Very good value for money. Had a room with private bathroom. Everything working, except the wifi was too weak (3rd level). Small, but potentially nice common area. My room didn't have an aircon, but a vent. Might be warm in the summer, but fine for spring. Location is nice.

The hostel is in a bad state of repair although they claim they're having a 'refurbishment'. The reception had been left in a dangerous and hazardous way. The staff were rude. Although I had paid my deposit by card and the website said I could pay the remainder on arrival by card, I was told on arrival only cash was accepted. Staff were rude and not accepting of this fault. The door to the room wasn't installed correctly and therefore compromised the lock and safety. Hostel is noisy.

Great hostel right in the heart of Barri Gothic! We booked a room with double bed and shared bathroom and were upgraded to a double bed ensuite for the same price! Also we had the room cleaned everyday without extra charge, the shower was really good, and so was the bed. We paid 10 euros for each night in average, so it's a *great* value for money. Breakfast (not included, 3 euros) was really decent as well.

Staying in Barri Gothic and being close to everything is fantastic. The hostel is really clean, the rooms are totally okay. It was really cheap, too. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the lady at the reception. She's the one who is kinda more responsible. Be careful about her cause her eyes are always on you and it's really not nice to be treated like you did something wrong all the time. AND don't forget to ask for your bills cause she doesn't remember!!!

I thought that we chose the best hostel in Barcelona thanks to hostelworld.com. The location is excellent, it's near Las Ramblas and the sea both, and though we booked double room with shared bathroom we've got private bathroom in the room and that was very comfortable. The staff is great though the only one man that usually stays during night doesn't speak english. we used dictionary to tell him we have problem with the toilet. so everything went great and we're glad we chose such a great host!

Everything about this hostel was great. Had a tv and wifi in the room and even our own private balcony overlooking the street below! Breakfast cost €3 per person each morning and was simple yet tasty. The staff were attentive and friendly, especially the lady who greeted us each morning with a beautiful smile. Located very close to many major sights. Our room was cleaned every day. They had storage lockers too which proved convenient on our last day there. Definitely coming back.

Perfect location near to the harbour, the ramblas and lots of cheap places to eat. Great value for money despite being quite basic. Rather noisy early in the morning.

We booked a double room with shared bathroom and were delighted to be upgraded to a 2 x double with a private bathroom and balcony! Great rooms, nice and clean. Didn't spend much time in common areas so not sure how it is socially. Fantastic location, right in the middle of great places to eat and drink and shop!

We only stayed for one night, but we were very pleasantly surprised, the location is great, it was very clean, we had our own bathroom, we even had towels! Compared to other hostels that i've been in, this one was the best! We will definitely return! The only observation is that the windows are not very well isolated, so it is a bit noisy, especially if someone has decided to continue the party under your windows! But if you like parties, you might as well join them! If you don't, book a hotel!

During my time here the staff were very friendly and helped me with everything I needed. Overall my stay was good, the only problem was that at night it was a little noisy with people coming in and out in the early hours of the morning, but this is nothing to do with the hostel and the people who runi it. Good 24 hour service and friendly staff ! For the price I would stay there again

I can hear clearly talking in the room next to me and 30 euros per person not including breakfast is a little bit expensive for a hostal.
