Excellent location. My room was very clean with a view of the Rambla. The rooms are small but that is normal for Europe. The Breakfast room is large with a grand view of the Rambla. It is a European Breakfast. The steps leading into Mare Nostrum are steep but once inside they have an elevator. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would stay here again.

The kind of location rich people spend hundreds of euros to stay a night in a 5 start hotel. We could literally look out directly over Las Ramblas from our balcony. Unfortunately we only stayed for about twelve hours but we could have stayed for a week!
