It is what it is! Convenient for a layover or early flight the next day. Easily walkable during the day but would cab it at night - just to be safe. For the price it's a comfy and clean place. Trinidad (owner's mother) was extremely helpful although could not speak english (the owner does though). Would stay again only if i had an early flight, etc.

The location was very convenient, as we were just staying one night on a layover. We walked from the airport the night we got in--I don't recommend this, as the neighborhood is a bit sketchy and the sidewalks are in bad shape, making roller bags a pain. Jose greeted us at the secure front door and showed us to a clean, spacious room. He was very friendly, spoke perfect English, and helped us get a cab to the Zócalo and another back to the airport early the next day. Free wi-fi and kind owners.

In relation to the airport this hostel is very conveniently located and getting a registered taxi is not too hard from the airport. The area is quite safe and there is good cheap Mexican food available at the several Cantinas nearby. There is even internet available in one of the small stores in case it is not working in the hostel itself. In relation to the sites of the city it is a bit of a journey in order to get anywhere, but luckily the metro system is very efficient and cheap.
