stayed a week. location is excellent. hot water, wifi, breakfast are good. the biggest problems are lack of atmosphere, noise, and cold food. there is no commons area where you can relax and meet other travelers. a neighbor plays loud music. also the hostel rents out the space on the top floor for parties. the noise will keep you up at night.. two times i ate dinner the food was not warm.

Positive: great staff, good location, close to zocalo but not loud, great breakfast included, dinner also included, nice rooftop bar, good wifi, good showers. Negative: no free purified water, hard mattresses, laundry is 60 pesos and then you'll have to do it yourself. Pro tip: at a hostel called Mexico city suites, just around the corner, they'll do your laundry, up to 3kg for 55 pesos.

I had a bad experience which was not Hostel Amigo's fault. When we (two friends and I) entered the 4 person dorm room, it was locked from the interior. The other guest unlocked it. When the door opened it was filled with cigarette smoke. It was so bad, we wanted to change rooms but there was no other availability. We complained to the front desk and went to dinner. Two hours later the doors were open and the fan on full blast. We ended up having to sleep with the door wide.

We loved our stay at Amigo Suites. Suggest you head straight there if you are in DF. Wins: Simply incredible staff. Friendly, fun and very helpful. Varied and tasty free brekky including good coffee. Superb location, close to everything. Great rooftop terrace. Perfect for soaking up some rays with a beer. Good wifi coverage. Great hot showers with awesome water pressure. Misses: Plastic covered mattresses with no covers. No vego options for dinner. No vacancy on booking sites but empty beds.

Fantastic Hostel! Location was perfect for getting around. Staff were fantastic and helpful, always with a smile. Breakfast and dinner included is just awesome and the rooftop where you dine is fantastic, must watch the sunset up there. Wifi works everywhere, 4 bed dorms are nice and each have an ensuite with personal lockers. Highly Recommended

Great location, right in the centre, but this can make it a little noisy in the mornings and evenings depending on where your room is. Staff are great, super friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were much betters than I expected and make this place great value for money! The dorm we stayed in was quite basic but clean.

I was there in the off-season and had an expectation of little big atmosphere.

The hostel room and areas were kept clean. The meals included in the hostel price were reasonable. The hostel has Very convenient laundry facilities for 60pesos wash and dry as well as free access to a computer and wifi on the rooftop. No wifi in the room but this did not present s particular problem for me. The staff were friendly and answered questions. Hector and Victor were a great help when I had A problem with the washing machine.

The room we reserved was taken so they put us in a dorm and then the second night we were able to switch but they didn't give us a discount or let us pay the cheaper rate we booked online. But other than that it was a fine place in a great location.

Since the hostel is 2 blocks away from the main plaza in Mexico City, is a great way to be near everything, we practically just used it to crash at night and it was great for that, second time around staying there and definitely would return for a third!
