We ordered tickets online to a copa America game and the company did not deliver the tickets in a timely manner. The staff at Hostel Bella 269 called the uncooperative and unorganized company to find out where our tickets were and when they would be delivered. The call took a lot of time, about 45 minutes, and the staff was more than happy to help us out. Awesome staff!
Good: Central location makes the city centre and trendy Bellavista easily walkable. The private rooms are smart and feel more like hotel rooms with TV, posh bathrooms, heating etc. Bad: No kitchen. A microwave and a kettle behind reception and that's it. And eating out is really expensive in the city, even in the on site cafe which isn't great anyway. Breakfast was a dry cheese toasted sandwich. No atmosphere in the hostel. Reception staff aren't knowledgeable about buses etc.
Staff was very attentive and kind, the accomodations were very good and confortable. Great value for money. Some problems were: the drain on the showers were very small and the water stuck and flooded during bath; the breakfast had no variety; the shower did not heat water well. Another observation is that this hostel did not have an feature common in other hostels, which is a common usage area where people can stay, have meals, chat, know each other, have some driks, etc.

We stayed in a double room and it was really nice and great value. Friendly staff and helpful too.
This was a great hostel, very secure since almost everytime you want to enter the hostel you have to identify yourself! Close to Bellavista! The beds were really comfortable and large, the breakfast was good (and included) and the lady in the restaurant where the breakfast is served was very nice! However they do not have a kitchen, but they offer good meals not too expensive in the restaurant .
Great place with modern fixture and fittings. Great facilities available from computers to hairdryer and a very good wifi throughout. Most important was the fantastic location, quality bedding and the wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Thank you

We stayed in the new building out the back, more a hotel feel than a hostel with modern bathrooms, nice bedding and a very quiet room far away from the busy road at the front. A good simple breakfast is in the cafe attached. Very friendly and helpful English speaking staff.
One of the best hostels I've stayed in anywhere. I was there when there weren't too many people around. The staff were helpful and friendly, the place was pretty, spacious and clean. The thing that stood out most was the food. They have a tiny cafe downstairs and the breakfast was very carefully prepared and delicious. You could also have an excellent lunch/dinner there at a very decent price. The directions could be a little clearer, but with a map, the place isn't hard to find.
So much about this place is awesome - huge comfy beds, massive lockers in dorms, great location, friendly staff, small but tasty breakfast. Shame then that kitchen is so poor, with no oven/hobs (were told there'd been a fire and it hadn't been replaced), and very little atmosphere as few communal areas. Also, shower wasn't very hot (was just about warm though) and no soap in toilet. Overall, decent place to stay tho, if you don't mind eating out.
Fantastic hostel in a good location for exploring Santiago. The staff were wonderfully helpful and the hostel itself was very clean and nicely decorated. Not the greatest social atmosphere amongst guests staying here. That said, would definitely stay here again.
