Great hostel in downtown Panama City. Pool was perfect for those hot days and not loud at all at night, so you can actually get a good nights sleep if you plan on waking up very early for one of the excursions.

Safe, central, clean, friendly, with a pool and a dog and colibris flying around. Minimarket around the corner, supermarket a few blocks further. 10 minutes to the metro, 4 minutes to the main bus artery. Staff is relaxed, communal area is huge with everything you might need to chill out. Kitchen is spacious and well equipped. (If only they had more power sockets...)

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. The ac doesn't come on until 9pm and goes off at 9am. So laying round in the ac is not a thing. Wifi doesn't work in rooms only common space. Very little atmosphere socially. But a really chilled out place if that's what your after.

One of the Best Hostels in Central America! I loved staying at Villa Vento Surf, it's a great hostel not only because it's facilities are above average For a hostel, but the vibe is also great. It's super easy to meet people, really fun and all together the hostel is clean, had a great kitchen and everything you need. It's also in a great part of town, and has an amazing a refreshing pool. I will definitely stay at Villa Vento Surf in Panama City again!

Fußball table, pool and a fantastic area to kick back in. All you need!

I would have appreciated if the dorm rooms either were locked or every bed had a bigger locker for the luggage. This way I had the feeling that a lot of my stuff was just "out there" for any person who came into the hostel.

The Villa Vento Surf is a brilliant place to stay in Panama City. The staff are amazing and the hostel is in a great central location. The owner, Daniel, is a wonderful guy to hang out with and always really helpful. He also has another hostel, also called villa vento surf, in Morillo on the Pacific coast which is truly stunning. One of the most amazing and peaceful places I've ever visited.

7-bed dorm:beds comfortable, air con much too cold, long term guest staying in room which made things a bit uncomfortable at times as felt like we were intruding on his space,no lockers in room, lockers at reception and very limited plug space in room also.Pool was nice. Breakfast was poor with make your own pancakes and syrup.Fine for one morning but not a nutritious/sufficient breakfast for more than that.Wifi ok in general, poor at times. Organised tour town costing $35-poor guide&hidden costs

Awesome vibes!!! Owner is super friendly. Nice pool and social area. Rooms and bathroom are cleaned daily. Kitchen is also kept really clean, heaps of fridge space and good amenities. Yummy pancakes and coffee for breakfast. Also, a/c in the rooms at night is a treat, but ask for a blanket as it can get cold if you're right under it. Will be back for sure, thank you guys! :) :)

I stayed here years ago and was extremely satisfied with both the facilities(which are kept exceptionally clean) and the staff(super informative and friendly). I was pleasantly surprised to return years later to an even nicer place (new furniture, fresh new paint and more art). The cafe out front is great addition, and the pool/garden area have some cool upgrades. Nice place, good location, great people, awesome vibe.

Good location, 5 min taxi ride to Albrook bus/airport terminal, close to atms, mini markets and restaurants. Staff were so so, the one during the day was nice but didn't have much to say when asked questions and the night staff was really annoyed when I had to wake him up to check out... (it's your job dude..!) The hostel is clean and has a courtyard with a pool. Wifi works good, the a/c is gets pretty cold during the night, bring a blanket.

I enjoyed my stay at Villa Vento Surf very much. The location is great. It is in the Marbella area, within easy walking distance of the movie theater, shops, and the market. The neighborhood also feels safe including walking at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I chose Villa Vento Surf over other hostals for it's location, and also because I wanted to stay somewhere that is a bit more peaceful than some of the 'party' hostals. Guests have fun at VVS, but it's a relaxing place
