I chose this place because of the good ratings online and was really dissapointed. There was no nice athmosphere which you usually have in good hostels. The room was okay but could be better - same with the bathroom. I actually switched to 2 different hostels everytime i came back to panama city and was really glad i did so. Sure this hostel has a pool but you wouldn't want to go on there anyway. The staff was nice but not really very informative concerning trips.

Very practical hostel with all necessary facilities in a secure area. Pool is nice and staff was very engaged to support us with any information we needed. However, the house is simply missing atmosphere and we decided to look for a lmore backpacker style place for our return to Panama City, but thats just personal preference. For others it might meet everything they need.

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel. It gave me a similar experience to other great hostels I have stayed at in Europe. My compliments to the staff of the hostel, including the owner, who greatly helped me with everything I needed. Besides the staff, the location is ideal, only a few minutes walking to the water, all local transportation, etc.

Amazing time had at this hostel! Great staff and location…the pool is an awesome chill out focal point to meet fellow travellers!

The bathroom needs renovation. The beds are really comfortable! Daniel, the owner, is a very good host but all other staff does not really communicate with the guests. The 4 bed room is in the corridor so a lot of noice, little privacy and not worth booking! Take rather the 7 bed dorm. There is a good vegetarian fast food stand next to the hostel (take left when you get out of the hostel).

The hostel is great, but the breakfast is only slim and there are very few food options in the area for meals. Otherwise it's in great proximity to bus stops and Cinta Costera. The neighborhood is really safe and the staff are helpful.

Great hostel blocks from hotspot Calle Uruguay for the prime nightlife in the city. The hostel has a very cozy, home feel vibe, so that's comforting. The staff (Leo) were great and helpful, and the value for the money is great. No hot water though, so for those looking to shower at night, be aware.

Great hostel in Panama City. Bit far from Casco Viejo if you wanna go there many times, but well located to the best places to enjoy nightlife. Clean and cosy hostel. Excelent place to stay.

Everything about the hostel was great... the common areas, the pool, and the $1 waters and beers. Breakfast wasn't always ready by 7:30, which is difficult when you're on the go and have to make your own. Locker space was also very scarce and I would have liked to locked up all my things.

Overall a disappointing stay. While the hostel has everything you need and expect, somehow it didn´t add up to a satisfying experience. The communal area combined reception, lounge, music, TV, dining, internet computer, book exchange, etc into one big noisy area where it was not easy to relax and talk. The pool area was nice but frequented by smokers and their toxic fumes (which would also often drift into the communal area). We would try somewhere different next time.

Only stayed for one night but it's a nice place with a nice pool and social area. Easy to find and helpful staff - cheap beers! Not much going on nearby in the evening but was nice to have some quiet. Recommended!

Everything was pretty good apart from the majority of the guests seemed pretty arrogant and kept to themselves. Maybe it was all the couches facing the same way towards the tv?? The owner was very friendly and helpful however.

I had an excellent experience at Villa Vento Surf. Daniel was a great host and knew all the cool things to see and do in Panama City. Kitchen is nice, bathrooms are clean, wifi is fast and THERES A POOL!!! I highly recommend this hostel to anyone coming to Panama City.

This is a nice hostel in a very good and safe location. it's great that they have a pool becouse Panama City is really hot. The only bad things is the lockers, that are really small (so you can`t put your backpack on it, only small valuable things) but I think that's the way it usually is in hostels in Panama. Oh, and they don`t have hot water in the shower, but most hostels in Panama wouldn't have either.
