At checked in at about 10pm, the guy was very friendly and helpful with the weird locks. At checked out the next morning a different guy was less friendly. There appeared to be a grease stain on the sheets I was given the previous night which I mentioned upon return and he asked me to put in the dirty linen basket anyway. Mattress is paper thin, almost like sleeping straight on the plywood. For 1 night and the low price, I didn't mind. Location isn't very convenient without car. Nice bathrooms!

staff were all really helpful and friendly. i received a great welcome. im not really sure why we all need to leave at 11 am and cant return until 4:30 pm buti guess i would have gone out exploring anyway so it didnt matter.the beds are super ordinary. very hard and the sheets are very old and not big enough to fit the mattress. its a short walk to the bus stop and easy to get around by bus. its a little far to walk to the city.

Inconvenient location but excellent facilities. It feel like you're staying in the country, far from the city. You have to figure in the long walk from the bus stop or the cab fare from the city ($20-ish from 30th Street Station). Cab drivers may not know the place so be prepared to direct them.
A really quaint hostel in a beautiful park by the river. The staff are really cool, helpful and hand out some great maps with bespoke pink highlighting. The hostel isn't superbly located for the city centre, but it's only an hours pleasant walk or a bus ride. A real homely stay, thanks guys.
I liked the hostel very much-awesome 300+ years old mansion located in the middle of a park, with wonderful interior and kitchen. However, there are several things, one should know before going there- it's pretty far from the center and it's not very accessible by public transportation during the night. And there are very specific rules in the hostel - you cannot get into the hostel after 2am (until 8am) and you cannot be in the hostel between 11am and 16pm (the hostel is closed at that time).
