Given the price, I was surprised that the rooms don't have en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast was good, internet was fairly good. It's great being so near central park, but it is quite a ways from downtown, even if it it's near a few good subway lines.

The hostel is amazing. The rooms are not exciting but very clean which is the most important thing. Everything else is amazingly clean and new. the tours which are offered are a great opportunity to meet others. The kitchen downstairs is very clean and equipped with stoves and microwaves, pots, plates and everything one needs. The subway is very close, easy to understand and easy to go everywhere. I met a lot of nice people there and I would come back immediately.

its a nice place to stay, so long as you dont get unlucky enough to get stuck with a snoring champion in your room as i did. i didnt sleep at all. i escaped to somewhere quieter, a refugee from the mysterious snorlax.

They've renovated the bathrooms since my previous stay; the showers are now the best hostel showers I've had the pleasure of using. The beds always make my hips hurt for a couple days. A pretty nice place overall, and they provide towels for free which earns bonus points in my book.

I saw a rat in room 409 while I was sleeping. I was really freaked out about the situation. I am just worried about the sanitation. I really enjoyed staying here, but this might change mind when I visit new york again.

I went to a saturday night organized by the hostel but I was surprised by the place you guys took all the people! We are travellers so we don't have a lot of money but even so you took us to a really expensive club...i would suggest you opt for another type of club where people can actually have fun and meet each other!

Super clean. All the facilities you could ask for: kitchen, wifi, (big) lockers, common areas, arranged nights out. BUT if you're in New York - how much time should you spend in the hostel?! If you're alone and don't know anyone in NY this is an exzcellent choice. If you have friends in the city and you need a place to dump your bag and sleep you can get more for your money elsewhere. Strange and very quiet atmosphere because of the size of te hostel.

Great Hostel. Just better ventilation in rooms. It smelt like stale socks

Cleanliness = awesome, it's like they're doing it 24/7. Staff are good, facilities are good (e.g. massive kitchen downstairs - the place is big so it's got what you want!) Plenty of places to chill out and chat to people, you've just gotta open your mouth. Location = very good. Why? It's one block away from the subway and it's Manhattan. Security... well it's good cause you have to swipe in, but I had a homeless guy snore in my room until he was booted @ 4am. Jerry's Tour = Interesting..........

Some staff I ran into the first day were quite cold to us... Maybe because they live in NYC. Not cheap, but without good quality. The bed was as hard as rock. But it is really close to the subway station. And the kitchen and cinema are good. In total, it is ok.

The hostel was great. Our only complaint is that it was either too hot or too cold.

Quite nice, close to 1 and A subway lines. Large public areas, free slippers, free towel, good and large showers/toilets, etc. However, poor but free breakfast. Quite clean. Above expectations, I can recommend it.

bag storage is $5/day which is bit more expensive than most of the hostels.

Really big hostel. Great facilities, clean rooms, comfy beds and good showers/toilets. Staff could be a little standoffish, but that's just New York. Information desk people were really helpful.
