Really enjoyed our time in El Chalten and staying at this hostel. The kitchen area was nice and the rooms were cosy as well. The hostel is close to the starting points for the trails which is nice. Breakfast was good especially some of the home made treats that come with it.

It is at the end of town but is actually handy for walks and has bars and restaurants nearby. Lovely large separate kitchen and dining with indoor parillas (bbq). Good breakfasts and nice staff. Although not near the bus station some companies stop nearby so make sure to check to save walking.

overall a great stay - there was a slight sewage smell in the evenings in the main reception area, however our room was fine. very comfortable beds, clean bathroom. breakfast was good, simple coffee, juice, breads, jams as well as cheese and sliced meats. location was fine, el chalten is small enough than anywhere is walking distance. wifi is terrible but this seems to be a problem with the entire town versus our hostel specifically.

Muy bueno todo. La atención, la limpieza, las facilidades. Quedaría por evaluar si existen opciones similares a menor precio en la zona.

We had a good time in Koonek Hostel. The walking routes began near the Hostel, that was nice. And it was very quite, so we could sleep very well. WIFI did not work but the rest was perfect.

Only stayed one night, but it was a lovely place to stay, more like an hotel. Maria and Hugo are very welcoming, and we spoke a lot to Maria, she speaks enough English to help with anything. Good breakfast. Highly recommended.
