Hotel Urquinaona Reviews

Me and my wife stayed in this hotel for three nights. I could say hotel is good for this price. If u need somewhere to sleep not live so its good choice. Our room was on top floor and it was quiet enought even though metro is underneeth building. Room was small but as said enough for spending night. Location excelent therefore i think its good value for money. Our room walls had bit of visible mould and dirt but for us it wasnt issue to stay there. So i would say it would come back there again.

On first arrival, the lobby is alarmingly tiny, and rooms are on the small side, but with modern furnishing, and excellent showers! The included breakfast was very good, considering the room price (I've seen some terrible breakfasts in similarly priced hotels!), and a PC with internet is available. The location is excellent, only 5 minutes' walk from La Rambla - it's my second stay at this hotel, which should say it all! If you don't mind a slightly cramped room, excellent value and location.

The hotel is in a perfect location if you want to walk in Barcelona and be in the ramblas in few minutes. The price rate is very good and people in the hotel are very nice. Maybe, even if they renewed the hotel some years ago, the quality of some furniture is quite poor .. however if you are looking for a good price rate, perfect location to be in the center and you do not expect to spend your days in the hotel (I guess you are not), then go for it.

I consider that Hotel Urquinaona is a very good place for the price, breakfasts are very good. I found not very nice, they put three beds in a room for two beds, nevertheless my stay with them was great. I would recommend any traveler to stay in this hotel.

Good location. Cleanliness could be better, room had very weird smell. The room was quite small as well.

The hotel is a fantastic price, great location and extremely helpful staff. The receptionist from Argentina recommended a restaurant for a proper parillada (we asked her to) and it was AMAZING - El Foro: go there!! The showers are all brand new top of the range and fab. The directions on hostelworld need to be better - if you could write: "Coming from Plaza Catalunya walk THROUGH Plaza Urquinona to the middle right hand street and we're just after the tobacco shop on the right" that'd be gr8

We spent 4 days here with 1,5 year old child. Very helpfull and nice staff. Breakfast was adequate. Noisy street (normal in BCN) and thin walls. Good 1* hotel.

During the weekend, the street under the hotel can be a little bit noisy. Cleanliness could be better.

The location is just perfect: a stone's throw from Plaza Catalunya, La Rambla, Pg. de Gracía; the restaurant downstairs is beyond praise. So if a loud (I mean, extremely loud) street noise 24/7 doesn't bother you, you will probably like the place a lot. As for me, I didn't manage to tune out the constant clamour in the streets, so finally, I had to change the hotel for another one, more quiet.

The location was good enough if you like walking, the room was clean with good beds. The staff were friendly but quite hard to understand.
