The hostel is great and there is great atmosphere. I also liked the breakfast. Had a little problem with the fact that i was moved twice from one room to another with no special reason.....

Has a great view from the top of the hill, only bummer i guess is the walk up and down from the city centre. They have a good area for an outside fire, but one has to gather their own firewood for a good night of it. There are heaps of flies in the kitchen and common room area, very annoying when cooking food and trying to eat. Was told we were to be picked up at 7am for a tour, shold have been told 8am as thats the time the tour came to pick us up, even other staff informed that its norm. 8am

A great place to stay, unwind and meet people. With a front porch that overlooks the lake, a backyard where people sit around a night time fire, large windows looking over El Calafate and into the mountains beyond, this is one of those places that make it conducive to meeting and chatting to strangers in a chilled atmosphere. The rooms are pretty quiet too as the walls are not paper thin like in most other hostels. Breakfast, however, was pretty ordinary.

room doors did not have locks. hostel was about 15 mins from the main road, which was a pain, but it did offer a good view of the town below. water temp and pressure in the showers was pretty poor.

Very friendly staff. Nice character to the place and we loved the BBQ. Great food and atmosphere, it was a good place to mix with and chat to other travellers. We got a private room which was nice but very basic

The staff at I Keu Ken were wonderful. They were friendly and hung out with guests because they clearly enjoyed doing so. All I had to do was email them and they arranged my bus to Perito Moreno before I even arrived! The location is fine - it's a very short walk to the center and bus station. The only thing I didn't like was that the showers were lukewarm or even cold sometimes. The hostel is a bit expensive... but if you're only staying for a few nights, it's worth the extra pesos.

I prefer places were you can relax at the evening from the day activities. Were reading a book or just sitting talking n is possible. (Like the CompassdelSur in P.Varas for compairment). This is not one of those. There is loud music all the time, the stuff is trying to create an "we have invented the party... lets be best friends..." envoirement, but you (or I in this case :-) ) can just feel its not honest. Well...like being in Italy... lots of talk, nothing said :-). just sleeping, its ok.

At first I thought i was a little bit far from the town center but it's only 10 minutes walking from there and there's a supermarket very close to the hostel (which is quiet good since Patagonia is not that cheap and you can save some money cooking your own dinner in the kitchen of the hostel). the view on the Lago Argentino is great!People working there is friendly, the place is clean and cozy...maybe the pc's they have are a little bit old and slow!good choice!

Good hostel the walk up the hill to get to it is a bit tiring with your back back. Didn´t like the showers as they are the´lockeroom´ type

We really enjoyed our stay, it was one of our best. The only thing we regret is that the heather stayed on in our room the whole night... Bur we really had a great time and will definitely recommand this hostel
