Mediocre hostel, our check-in staff was next to ignorant and uninterested. Although El Calafate has a distinctive "early morning vibe" due to all hikes, the night shift didn't feel the need to even slightly turn down their music during the night. Dorms only have a single powersocket p/4 beds (note: Argentina only, not including the Euro plugs, adapter required). The beds are ok, but the bunks themselves are loose, creaky and unstable: uncomfortable for both top and bottom.

This hostel was really nice. I'd been camping for about 2 weeks and had it booked for a night before flying out. Was really great. Very relaxed vibe. Good breakfast. Kitchen well equipped. Nice view of the lake. Read and napped on the couch upstairs in the sun. Rooms were cool with only 4 beds in the dorms. Quiet, great sleep. The staff were really helpful. Booked me onto a shuttle to the airport, no skimming off the top. Hostel a bit pricy, but looking around I think that's just Calafate

This was a lovely little place, right next to a giant supermarket and only a short walk from the bus station. It's uphill so it gives a great view from the front window. The staff were nice and breakfast was good. The kitchen was maybe a little small but it never felt overcrowded. Would recommend!

Nice hostel, close to the center but on a hill, so it was a workout to get there. Nice common space and good rooms. The staff was friendly.

Very nice hostel, great staff. The beds aren't so comfortable.

Very expensive for what you get (as everywhere in el calafate). Breakfast was super delicious tho! Bathrooms were a bit gross and it was really noisy with music playing til late.

The hostel staff very accommodating and they helped me book a tour to the glacier as well as stored some luggage while I soebt a few days in Chaltén. The walk up the hill to the hostel is worth the view. Great stay.

Loved our stay at Keu Ken Hostal! It was very clean, good breakfast, strong wifi, and the staff was super helpful. I would recommend this hostel to my friends if they went to el calafate.

A very cool atmosphere and friendly staff make this a good pick. It's also clean and in a decent location, especially if you make use of the nearby supermarket - which you definitely should if you're heading to El Chalten after this!

Great hostel, great staff, located on a little hill a short walk from city center. Great views of the city and the lake. Would stay again.

The toilet didn't flush, there was a gas smell in the rented private room (kitchen and bedroom) from the heating system which meant sleeping with the windows open and I've seen cleaner places. The common room with free tea is cozy.

I only spent one night at I Keu Ken, but luckily it was Christmas Eve! The staff threw an incredible party with a full lamb roast in the yard, tons of wine and champagne at midnight. The hostel itself was very nice and the staff was very helpful with arranging some buses for us to Perito Moreno and to El Chalten.

This was easily one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Jose and the other staff went out of their way to make everyone feel at home, including preparing a wonderful Christmas dinner. The hostel is very cozy with a great atmosphere. It's the sort of place you get to and then want to stay for several weeks. Specifics: lockers in all rooms, decent wifi, hot water all the time, a good kitchen for cooking in, two blocks from a grocery store, free towels, etc.

I loved the atmosphere here, the couch in front of the big window is a wonderful place to hang out, and the musc makes a really nice atmosphere. The staff is also really nice, and very helpful! Definitely recommendable, although the price is very high.

Not every locker was functioning properly in my room so some of the other guests were not able to secure their belongings. A ladder would be nice for the bunk beds, climbing up and down from the ends was a little painful due to my height and the width of the wood.
