Overall a good stay and a good hostel. The staff was helpful and the hostel has a good (clean) atmosphere. The walk to/from town can be a bit much in the winter because it's 10-15 blocks down/uphill. Definitely a recommended hostel for El Calafate.

Probably the best hostel to stay at in el calafate, even though it's a bit out of the way. Just an average hostel when it comes to the rooms, but great common room with a nice view and god character.

Amazingly helpful staff, happy to help you with anything. They went above and beyond to help us recover from a stupid mistake we made. Great facilties, good common areas. It`s up a hill, but close to a supermarket, and the bus station. Don`t trust your lonely planet for the location, it lead us on a wild goose chase. Check the directions to the hostel when you book. Would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed one night, getting in late. Staff wasn't too helpful when we arrived, but perhaps part of that was due to when we arrived. Clean, nice social area. A little bit off the main road of the center, but a short walk to get there. A super market close by to get groceries.

Best internet in any hostel in South America to date. Best BBQ/ASADO anywhere and includes beer and wine in the price. The staff are excellent, the facilities lovely and clean. If you are in El Calafate, I would definitely aim to be here on a Friday, for ASADO. Downside, is the small lockers in the rooms, and getting to the hostal up a hill along a dirt road is annoying. But, I'd do it again to stay here.

Lo mejor asado en cualquier hostal de argentina! the best BBQ in any hostel in argentina! The BBQ is generally on every second night and includes all you can eat food and all you can drink beer and wine. Great value at $AR90, considering the wine goes til at least 2AM if the crowd wants! A lovely hostel with great character, friendly staff, good kitchen, servicable wifi, and a beatiful vista from the front porch looking out over the lake to the north and the snow capped mountains to the west.

The staff were lovely and very helpful with booking bus tickets etc. Location was good, near the bus station and supermarket with views over the lake and mountains. My only complaint was that the lockers were small and made of metal so very noisy.

Only stayed here one night on our way to Puerto Natales. Booked it as we thought it was close to the bus station. Is actually a bit of a walk up the hill and in the dark it was a bit hard to find. The place was very warm and cosy inside. Very clean and the staff were lovely. Everything was great except the location,

Asado was better than anywhere I'd tasted (including another hostel and a BA restaurant), definitely recommend. Great place to meet people and chill, kitchen is good.

I loved staying here! Staff was amazing and I really felt welcomed and it felt like a home away from home. Like staying in a cost mountain cabin/lodge. Would highly recommend it. Favourite hostel so far. Friday night BBQ night was brilliant! Best dinner in ages. Thank you for a great an welcoming four days in El Calafate.

very nice hostel, very clean, a bit out of town (5-8 minutes walk from the main street). The staff is very nice and helpful! The breakfast are ok, but not much. The only downside is that the neighbour all have stupid dogs that bark at night with the street dogs, can be annoying when you want to sleep, sometimes!

Lovely hostel with a very relaxed atmosphere. Nice communal area with a sofa where you can sit and drink tea and look at the wonderful view of the lake. The hostel put on a great asado which was perfect for meeting other travellers. The hostel also provided lots of information about tours and trips in the area. The 4 bed dorm was comforatble and warm.
