Everything was perfect. Great quality/price ratio!
The staff is really nice and the location is in the center. Just the kitchen is in the middle and when ppl are around at late, that can easily wake you up. Other than this, there may be another options cheaper, but if cleanliness, staff and good location is definitely wanted, I suggest Il Castello.
Its a very good place, with a very kind staff. Clean, comfortable, and safe. I recommend it for sure.
I was lucky to have a promotion price. This price is normally not for the backpackers but this place is awesome! The shower was like hotel facility and breakfast was special! The room, wow, was clean and warm and comfy. Highly recommend to stay.
Beautiful place everything was good except the three bed room i was in next to the kitchen was very not sound proof with the room next door and i think the info on hostel world needs to be updated mainly the directions could better and dont say twice "breakfast included" when it is not if like me you pay a reduced last minute price for the room.
Way beyond expectation for accommodations. Stephanie was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, it being where a lot of people stay up late, it can sometimes be noisy with people walking and chatting. Accommodations are very cosy. I would recommend to anyone. Loved it so much i requested for extended stay. Must go back!!!!
New place, awesome lounge area where you get breakfast. Pretty simple breakfast: toast, butter, and cafe. Room is sparse, just a bed not even a table for your stuff. The staff is never there. Overall a fine place for the location and price.
We loved staying here, the staff were friendly and helpful. very central. we felt safe. yes, the walls are thin - but its not really that big a deal.
The walls are so thin that you feel as if you were sleeping with people from other rooms Even whispering is hearable. The worst thing ever when somebody at 5 o'clock in the morning talks on the phone and you are a participant of the conversation! The rest is awesome- lovely apartment in the really good style and the location could not be better. Totally worth it, but as I said the owner should do something about those walls.
They have some strange and a but silly rules about not checking in after 7pm...so make sure you arrive on time otherwise they will charge you 10 € extra.. Also there are many signs saying 'Vietato' which means ' forbidden'.. It doesnt make u feel confortable.. However the helpful staff and the location together with air conditioning make it worth it!)
Really nice hostel in the heart of Bologna! Staff was ok, not amazingly nice. The hostel has a fully working kitchen but guest are NOT allowed to use. Why not???

Value for money was excellent, however breakfast was poor. Air con was fantastic. Although walls vere extremely thin, could hear everything.
A good place overall, very clean with air conditioning and free breakfast. No kitchen to use, no computers to use and staff ,although nice, were often unavailable for any questions. Location was excellent and quiet.
Perfectly placed to see the historic centre of Bologna, and the staff look after you. There is no kitchen to make your own food, but there are ample bathrooms to service the small hostel. It seems a place designed for couples, there are double rooms and no communal space. The walls are thin. The A/C is good.
Clean, well located, nice environment and kind advises from the receptionist. The price for an individual room is very good
Facilities and room wise, it was the nicest hostel I have ever booked. It is fancy. I had the room to myself and it had a/c, nice bathrooms and very comfy beds. Definitely would recommend.
Just 100m walking from the main shopping street of Bologna. Also nearby Piazza Maggiore. Good breakfast en nice rooms with airco! The only negative thing: there are no computers available, so backpackers: book your next hostel before you're going to this one or prepare for a search for a internetcafe
This can be a very good B&B but it all depends on what room you are in.. Rooms 1 and 2 (for 2 or 3 persons) lie next to each other, only separated by a thin wall. There is a lot of noise and light filters through from the room next door. The room with double bed on the other hand is very quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast depends on who serves it, as sometimes got toast and sometimes not... The location in the city centre is fantastic!
