For my birthday I decided to treat myself to a 'deluxe' room for $22 for 2 people - when we arrived, deluxe meant closer to the beach. There was no toilet or bathroom in our room and the 3 bathrooms were shared amongst all of the huts which were a few metres walk away. The toilets didn't stock toilet roll - you had to get tissues from the plastic tissue boxes which didn't always have toilet roll in and the toilets didn't flush either! There was a rat in my room which left droppings. Poor value.

Really good stay overall! Very friendly staff and excellent position on the beach. Though we did have a few rats run through our room!

Nice place situated directly on the beach. Managers Shell and Nik and their team are brilliant and really take time to look after you and make you feel welcome. They are also able to arrange transport into town and also have their own beach buggy's that will show you real Cambodia. However the facilities are a little lacking with only 2 showers and toilets for 16 plus guests as well as frequent power cuts that mean no running water. Not amazing value for money but it is a brilliant location.

Nice place which is situated right on the beach. The rooms are basic and a bit small but OK and very similar to everything else which is available nearby. Cheaper places can be found to stay but these are not neccesarily on the beach front. Can be quite noisy at night as rooms are right by the bar. Good if you want to be on the beach in the day and the bar at night!

We had a nice stay at Indigo on Otres. You have a wonderful view over the sea and can have a relaxed time. Unfortunately there were only two bathrooms for all the guests. In the morning and the evening there was a long waiting time. In addition the toilets were not that clean.

I had 3 nice lazy days at indigo, tnx to the very chill location, the palm tree view to the sea & sunset, good music & food. And the guys that run the place are really cool too

this was a beautiful place to stay on otres beach. one of the first hotels you come across when walking down the beach, has distinctive pale blue/purple coloured seats. the bungalows are basic but good quality: we were amazed at the sheets and pillows. we laid all day on the beach occasionally talking a walk. it cost us 8USD from the bus station to get there by tuktuk.

A very romantic and nice place to stay. Bungalows are charming and everything in the room works well. Through no fault of their own, the power fails regularly at night, but this is a problem over all of Otres Beach, not just here. Indigo has a back-up generator so power outages are not a deal-breaker. The only problem would be the bathroom which does not use clean water- it uses water from the local river which can be a bit gross. but again, this is an Otres beach wide deal. Overall Awesom

The bar staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The huts are literally on the beach so just a few steps to the sea and the look & style of the whole place is fresh & modern. However, for the price I would have hoped for the toilets to be kept in better order (as they are shared), and the rooms are not cleaned during your stay. Potential guests should be aware that the site is very small so all the huts, toilets & bar are close together so earplugs are a must if you're a light sleeper

GET BETTER SECURITY! My room was broken into and the staff didn't really care?? Just lucky that nothing got stolen... not really luck - I happened to catch her, not you!? And then I find out that the key was lost a few weeks ago but you didn't bother to replace the padlock?? which probably costs $1. Such a poor effort. Especially seeing as it seemed like an inside job, the girl was hanging out with staff in the kitchen after the incident. Also note on directions it's Otres 2 very important!

Toenail clippings on the bedside when we arrived. Dogs running around the bar and sun beds. Food was overpriced and pretty dreadful. Shared bathroom was filthy, full of sand, smelt and had brown water. Power cuts happen frequently. Beach was nice but Otres is very undeveloped compared to Serendepity up the road. Rooms are overpriced. Don't be fooled by the pictures.

It's a nice place to stay but the staff wasn't that friendly and don't pay that much attention to the guests. The place is gorgeous though and the bungalows are really nice and with a lot of space. After two nights I moved to the hostel right next to it which has great facilities as well and was way cheaper with nicer staff. If you can go to the places that are owned by locals, it will make your stay much better as they are really really friendly!

Cute huts right on the beach, but only two bathrooms to share with everyone, which wasn't an ideal situation (nor were they that clean). The restaurant/bar was great and if you're in the mood to party the bartenders were awesome and really made our night. However, when we first got there, we were exhausted and wanted to fall asleep early, but couldn't because the bar was blaring music till 3 am.

Funky beach chalets, very clean and lovely staff. I scouted the rest of the accomadation on otres and i think this is the best to be had. Comfortable and relaxed bar area and good quality loungers. The food here a bit more expensive than elsewhere on the beach but larger portions so fair enough. Chilled atmosphere away from the drug taking croud further up the beach. All the bathroom facilities are shared but i didn't ever have to wait funky and superclean, apart from a bit of inevitable sand!

so it's right on the beach which is lush, but so is every hostel...and there are loads cheaper. note your bar may not be blaring music till 2am but the one next door dose you will hear (this applys to the whole strip not just indigo). Toilets and showers are campsite-esk quality, not great. i paid 40 dollars for a double, lovely inside the room, food good just wouldn't rate it travelling alone, with a family it would be lovely.

This is a hard place to review, the location is FANTASTIC so first impressions were good. But after a week at Indigio we began to see its true colours. The place lacks the atmosphere all the other places on Otres Beach have. it's almost like they are trying to be something that Otres Beach is not. after watching the behaviourof the british owner I decided I didn't want to give this guy my money. So many better cheaper Khmer run places to choose from. Where would you rather your money end up?
