I would give this hostel 2/5. 1 score cleanliness and 1 score for great company by other travellers. But to be honest the postives end there. When you book this hostel from hostelworld there is no explaination that you have to literally leave your room between 11am - 3pm. I found this completely inconvienent, especially if you want to go out in the city that never sleeps! Furthermore you have you to leave all your large suitcases down stairs due to OHS reasons. Which I believe is utter nonsense

Good value hostel in the upper west side just next to a subway station and Centra Park. Staff is friendly and helpful. The common area is perfect to socialize and chill out. Location is perfect if you want to escape the overcrowded noisy midtown. Rooms are big and clean. Big downside : no wifi even if there is a Starbucks 2 blocks south.

It was my first time in a hostel and I'm extremely happy to have chosen it. Dorms, bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned every day, it is well located and the subway station is in the corner. The staff, especially Walid and Maria, are very helpful, available and amazing. There is no WiFi but there is a Starbucks near there with a free WiFi. There were many international people and it was very easy to meet and talk to everybody, you don't feel alone at all.

Great location at 5min from subway station. Friendly staff. Rooms are very simple but clean. My only concern is that you have pay for bag storage after checkout which in my opinion is unacceptable for a hostel targeted to students.

I spent relatively short time in ISC, however, I met interesting people from all over the world. We celebrated the birthday for a friend, which was a memorable experience. The location is fine, since it is only two blocks away from the Metro station at 86th St. If I spent longer time, it is without doubt a good choice because its value for money.

I loved to stay ther! I really felt like home! Very nice staff and the common lounge and kitchen area allows you to know other guests and to hang around! Just having dinner or chating until late! Very very good value for money!

Excellent hostel on an even better location! Only 10 minutes with the metro away from times square. We had a blast. Hostel was great. Good info about the city, nice facilities. We only slept there en went to town early in the morning and arrived back late at night but the hostel was an excellent place to reboot.

The place is clean and friendly, and was useful being able to keep our valuables in the safe. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, though. The staff were always really friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay.Excellent value. I enjoyed being in the fourth floor girls dorm and the building has lots of charm. Only complaint is that they do kick you out to clean everyday

It is fine, but i think that it is expensive for what it is. I mean it is in a good neigborhood, but is an old house, you can´t have your stuff with you, the lockers are downstairs so its very unpractical, and the rooms were very smelly. Anyway you can know people in the living-room and they have a nice kitchen.

Very friendly staff. The only thing that was a little bit annoying was that you can't take the luggage upstairs (but I know, that you can't do anything about this) The cleanness of the bathroom surprised me in a very positive way, it was the most clean hostle I have ever had.

It is a good place to stay, clean, organised, the only problem is they don´t have wi fi so you just can use the computer for 10 minutes, it is in the office and they close it at 11.
