One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. So much fun and so much organised for the guests so they can make the most of San Diego! Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone!

I ended up staying for 8 nights and overall it has been a great experience. There is one really annoying practice though; staff coming into your room in the morning to change the bedding of checked out guests (checkout is 11am). I realise this is a necessity at some stage of the day BUT it is pretty frustrating to be woken up at 10.30am when two staff members enter your room without knocking or announcing their presence, wedge the door open to the outside world and start talking/cleaning.

Staying in the hostel made for an amazing experience. I was staying in San Diego for 2 months and just using the hostel as a jumping off point. I'm so glad I did. I met fantastic, fun people. I went surfing (so much fun!) and roamed around town. The location was good - I could explore the city, and the hostel was never too far away. The staff made the atmosphere so relaxed and fun, which attracted a great group of travelers. The breakfasts and dinners were great. The value was unbeatable.

The free breakfast and Dinner was excellent. They could even charge for the food, other hostels do this as well, or open a box for donations. First place where i got a good coffee in the US. I only heard from friends that in the washing service clothes got destroyed or shrinked because of the druing. But for the destroyed clothes they handed out a financial compensation. All in all a very nice place to stay in San Diego.

Overall the hostel has a great kitchen, common room and dining room and the staff are fantastic. The bathrooms could use a thorough cleaning and there were fruit flies through the dorm room. The location is great and the hostel is in a nice part of town, but the front door is left constantly open and there were a couple of older homeless-looking people sitting right outside the door the night I stayed there.

This place was amazing! The staff was really friendly and the place was very clean. This place has more of a community feel than most other hostels I've stayed in. A lot of that comes from the staff, but I also think it comes from the fact that they offer free dinner and people eat as a group and also because they offer activities through the hostel. The staff will do everything they can to help you get around the city and find stuff to do. I will definitely be back!

They barely said anything upon check in, except for that there is someone at the front desk 24/7. Yet when i came back at 3am after going out to a bar, i was banging on the door for 30 minutes, because it was locked and there was no one there. Shower situation was very inconvenient as well. Only one shower on the second floor for like 14 people. Staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable.

There is not a single thing I could complain about!! We loved our stay there, unfortunateley it was just for one night, could have stayed longer as the hostel has lots of character and is very clean. The staff was lovely and very helpful, our 4 bed female dorm was absolutly cute and the bunk beds really comfortable. I never sleep well in hostels, but here I felt pretty rested when I woke up. For breakfast (which is free!), we had yummy banana pancakes. I definitively recommand this place!!

Great staff, environmentally aware and a hostel that is small (I think only accommodates 15). I only stayed one night before leaving town, which I regret, as SD is beautiful and the hostel was run more as a vocation than a business. Extremely hospitable, clean, great wifi and heaps of actiities including communal dinner. A most unusual and refreshing hostel experience.

Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Outstanding facilities, good location, remarkably clean, and the best staff I've ever encountered. I really can't think of enough good things to say about this place. If there's any drawback, it's the small kitchen...BUT they more than make up for that fact by including a prepared dinner for the guests each and every night. And that's on top of the amazing planned social activities. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.

This place is awesome and the guys that works here are outstanding! Bobby took care of my reservation even when I needed to postpone it 2 nights due to canceled flights, and Bridgite (sorry if I wrote it wrong!) checked me in flawlessly upon my arrival! I stayed in a private room with a single bed because the hostel was full, but it was a very economic price and it definitely worth to rest in a private bed after 3 days of canceled flights. Thank you for everything guys!

You guys are the best. You made me feel at home and I met a lot of nice people. Next time the Wind blows me to SD, I'll definitely stay here again. Thanks to Bobby for getting me loaded, to Dave for being so handsome, and Thiago for his yoga skillz.
