International Traveler’s House was founded to create memorable, authentic and unique experiences for travelers. We do this through connecting our guests with local culture, neighborhoods and adventures. At our hostel, we have a passion for community and love to bring travelers together to explore the city and make memories. We start everyone’s day with a complimentary breakfast and advice on amazing activities to showcase our beautiful city!

Located right on the sand in Pacific Beach, the location doesn’t get any better! The hostel has a large private outdoor deck where travelers can socialize, check out the waves and soak up the sunshine. Amazing restaurants and popular bars are all within walking distance. Travelers can easily access all of San Diego’s top activities.

The external floor plan offers lots of outdoor space to meet other travelers. Inside the lounge, guests can enjoy a variety of cozy spaces to relax or work from. The unique design of our bungalow style building creates a social, friendly and fun atmosphere. Hosted social events happen every evening for guests to connect and meet other travelers.

We have several room options, including female only rooms, dorm style rooms and private rooms. We also have free Wi-Fi. Surfboard and wetsuit rentals are available.

By staying at ITH, you become a part of a community dedicated to creating global, cultural and community-centric sustainable relationships. You are also supporting the sustainable measures we strive to implement in each of our hostels.

Being a guest at ITH is an experience. We offer a variety of rooms types so we can share this unique experience with as many travelers as possible. Great for single travelers or groups.

Please note that guests staying at ITH must be over 18 years. International guests with a valid passport and American travelers that reside outside of San Diego County are welcome.

A local tax of 11.05% is not included in the price and will be added onto the room rate on arrival.

Overall not a horrific experience, the bed was clean and comfy. The A/C struggled to keep the room cool. (Private room) This place is filthy and there were rats running up the stairs when I left my room. We were only there about 12 hours because we had to leave at 3:30am for a trip to Baja. Check in seems late! Both refrigerators were packed full and disgusting. The location is phenomenal but cleanliness gets zero stars. Good security system. Staff is super friendly and helpful too!

Absolutely loved this hostel and if your main priority is the beach then this is 100% the one for you. It’s a twenty second walk to the beach and there’s so many restaurants and shops to explore nearby. The hostel itself could def use an upgrade on some facilities (sink was clogged and some outlets didn’t work) but it won’t matter cause you’re spending all your time at the beach or on their gorgeous patio. The highlight of my trip was sunbathing on the hammocks. Will definitely be back!!

Great location. on the Beach.surrounded by a bunch of restraraunts and bars and dancing. bunch of shopping. nice staff. for sure a good vibe. all the events they had for others to mingle or hangout and meet others that are staying were fun/good time. so if you didnt have plans or solo dolo then thats nice. people that also stayed were nice and respectable. the Free pancakes each morning was nice. Pricing was really good. i would for sure stay again or if they have another location.
