Aileen is a fantastic host. She is extremely friendly and very, very helpful with everything from getting a local meal to explaining bus routes to offering suggestions for what to do in Jeju. Her guesthouse is clean and her breakfast offerings are enjoyable. We would definitely stay at Island Guesthouse again.

Ailing is a great host and so helpful on how to get around by bus & what to see. The guesthouse is in a little village, but it's easy to get around by bus once you're pointed in the right direction. It's close to the hot spring resort, Sanbangshan & the Yongmeuri coast which is spectacular, a short bus ride to the waterfalls and well located for Olli Trail 10 - well worth the walk. There are a couple of local restaurants, but I opted to cook my own meals. Great home baked bread for breakfast!

It is a lovely little guesthouse on the somewhat less touristic western part of the Island. The interior is charming and staff very friendly, as are the two dogs outside. Only hooks on rooms but feels safe. It feels a little in the middle of nowhere but it is better than an overcrowded, artificial tourist hotspot. It is still reasonably easy to get around from there as several buses run from around the corner, although the entire bus system in Jeju is not particularly efficient. Recommended!
