Nice Japanese man and his wife (and dog) running this small house-cum-hostel. One main dorm room with about 10 beds (5 bunks), and some other rooms I didn\'t see. Shared bathrooms have hot water but need a good scrub. Has WiFi but no PCs. Close to some shops, internet cafe and a main road. Close to (south of) the airports. Good choice if you\'re just passing thru Manila for a night.

IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE TRUE SIDE OF PHILIPPINES, THEN THISIS YOUR PLACE. IT IS AWAY FROM ALL THE TOURISTS AND YET CLOSE TO ALL THE AIRPORT TERMINALS. I DECIDED TO STAY 3 MORE NIGHTS BECAUSE I LOVED THE HOSTS AND THIS PLACE SO MUCH. STOP LOOKING FOR ELSEWHERE. THIS IS IT.

The guesthouse is being run by a lovely couple who were very nice. Its close to the airport (a cab should cost 100 pesos) and the staff can later tell you have to use the jeeps to get into the city. :-)

I went to Islas the week right after the typhoon. For what had happened to the area, the owners did a great job of cleaning up the place. I would consider staying there again for my next trip.

Its not my idea of a G'House. Coming from Vietnam, I was shocked by the basic amenities and remote location from the action. The owners are nice enough but when they found out that we didn't want to continue our stay the woman gave us the cold shoulder. They're also asking way way too much for what you are given. The private room is basic, 2 frame beds, a mattress, no sheets small TV with bad reception and basic air con machine. They wanted 950p for a place out of town and basic. No thanks   Read Owner Comments
