The location is good if you want something near the airport and away from downtown. The beds are fine if you are just staying a night or two but everything else is very, very dirty. The room looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in a long time. The owner seems to have given up and you feel like you are bothering him every time you ask him to open the main gate to the property. The shower was hot and wifi okay but I don't think we would stay again despite it being so cheap.

Cheap and close to the airport but dont expect the taxi driver to know how to get there. It is hard to find. The place is cramped and dingy and has a single shared bathroom. Male owner is miserable, presumably his wife is nice though. No locks on the dorm doors. Only way to get in after dark is to alert the dogs who wake the owner and let you in.

Great place! If you are like me, and you want to stay in a REAL part of the city where you are visiting, and get a real feel of the people living there, then this is the place for you. Loved the neighbourhood. This is real Manila, and lots of places to eat (street food, etc) and shopping all around. The family that owns this hostel are awesome too. No, the usual hostel vibe is not there. So what? Hop onto the UV van and head to Intramuros, and then come back and sleep. Good place!

The staff were pleasant and helpful and the accommodation was convenient for the airport. I felt it was good value for money. The following information on Hostelworld was not correct for my room -“All rooms are air-conditioned ... cable TVs in all rooms” – but for the price that is OK. The heat was the main problem for me. I had a fan in my room but my room got very hot, especially as there was no window which could be opened. The accommodation was nice and quiet.

A shared room in one of the hearts of local life in Manila. Less than 20 minutes geepney ride from the airport. Surrounded by a thriving local comunity. You couldn't get a more authentic experience of life in the big city. A huge modern mall and cinema less than 2 minutes walk from the hostel, if thats your thing. But with Baclaran's thriving market streets only a short ride away, with easy train access to the rest of the city, why go? Needs a bit of a clean, but definitely has potential.
