I only stayed for 1 night and left wishing I could stay longer (I was off to Tokyo the next day). The staff were great and the hostel is only a short walk from the Peace Park. The hostel organised an evening learning to cook Okonomiyaki Hiroshima style - a great way to pass an evening. Thanks J-Hoppers!

An average Good one. for little money you can not expect too much. Could be a bit cleaner.

Rooms and common area are a bit on the small side but the location isn't terrible: 5 minutes from the peace park, 10-15 minutes from downtown shopping/dining area.

The kitchen was pretty good, of not impressive, but the showers were a sore point. The kind where you need to pull a lever every minute to get water. Moreover, when two people use showers the water pressure drops considerably.

Great location, and really friendly staff. Stayed in a tatami style room which was incredibly comfortable! The location was perfect for us- walking distance to the peace museum and a-bomb dome.

Great place to stay. Staff were great. Good spot to stay on the #2 Tram line. An easy 20min tram trip away from main train station and about 40min Tram trip away from Mirajima Island. Twin share room was very spacious for Japanese standards. Bathroom facilities on every level.

This was my best hostel in Japan so far (out of six), I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was excellent (perfect English and very helpful), the atmosphere with the other travelers was very inspiring, and there was just all you need as a backpacker. If you want to improve anything, J-Hoppers people, lockers in the rooms (with el. socket? *g*) would be great.

The best hostel in our trip! Peace park is around the corner, the 2 person room (where you sleep on tatami) give a good japaness feeling that was abscent else where. And the best of all is the staff. They are both friendly and helpful. They even dried our cloth while we were out visiting!

I visited 5 cities in Japan and stayed at hostels at each stop. J-Hoppers Guesthouse in Hiroshima was one of the best. Chika was working the front desk when we arrived and she was very friendly and helpful. Also, when we accidentally left behind a small package of souvenirs that we had purchased thus far during our travels, the staff at J-Hoppers was kind enough to mail the contents to our last hostel in Tokyo. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling through Hiroshima!

Very convenient location and very helpful staff. Besides, the room I had was a Japanese style room, and it was very cool. I highly recommend this place.

This place was very friendly and very quiet. Nothing was a hassle when I asked staff for anything. I had the best night sleep here and the beds were so comfortable.

Good location and friendly staff just like other J Hoppers. :) However this hostel could use with a spring clean and airing of the shoe cupboard. It was really smelly. Toilet on the higher floors need to be cleaned as well. Apart from that this was a good option for a short stay.
