No kitchen. Bar expensive. No common lounge area. No hostel vibe. Unfriendly. This hostel is well past its sell-by date, needs a serious upgrade in terms of facilities and a whole new energy. My 'private en-suite luxury room" was appalling. An upstairs bunk - light switch by the door - I had to climb a vertical ladder in the dark to get into bed. A 'suicide shower" that produced a trickle of cold water. Dark room. Broken flush handle. DO NOT STAY HERE!
A bit too dark at night for my liking. Also, did one of the receptionists speak English or Spanish? It was hard to communicate with him.
This was a nice hostel with lots of potential, but really lacked atmosphere!! Not all the rooms had aircon- our basic private was a sweat box!!! The window had no curtain either. Location wise it's located about 5 mins walk out of town- so walking home at night was a bit scary as the street wasn't very well lit and there were a few dodgy characters hanging around the entrance to the town. It's right on the playa Negra beach which was lovely. No kitchen was also a big downfall.
I missed a kitchen, the rest was perfectly good!
Nice place to be. The playa negra is 20m ahead. A bar is also included.
Best hostel I have ever visited. Felt more like a hotel!
