Pagalu Hostel is a cozy hostel located in the town of Puerto Viejo, from where it is possible to walk everywhere or rent a bicycle to discover the beautiful surroundings and beaches in the area.

The hostel has a beautiful common area with a fully equipped open kitchen and gardens. You can choose between different types of rooms with or without air conditioning: 4-bed dorms, 6-bed dorms or double rooms with private or shared bathroom. All dormitories are mixed. Additionally, hot water is available and towels are included.

Cancellation policy: 72 hours before arrival.

Check-in from 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Departure before 11:00.

Payment upon arrival in cash, credit cards, debit cards.
Taxes not included - 13% will be charged.
Breakfast not included - Free coffee and tea.

Reception from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Children under 18 years of age are not allowed in the dormitories.

This was a lovely chill hostel, the staff were amazing and helpful and rooms were cleaned everyday! Able to park in a gated area out front. There was a clean kitchen with ample cooking space

Super nice, peaceful hostel in a good location. I stayed in a private room, which was super nice and had lots of space and good AC. The hostel area is beautiful, you feel like you are in a jungle. The staff were very kind and helpful. Not a party hostel. I would recommend this place!

WiFi pretty poor couldn’t stream World Cup. Beds don’t have curtains, or a decent ladder to climb up them if you are on a top bunk, which was assigned to me without a choice despite it being quiet in the hostel. The dorms also didn’t have a lock so anyone could walk in. They don’t the paper towels near sinks and one of the toilets doesn’t have soap, they need to focus on attention to detail to improve. Some of the staff could improve their English too, given it is an international space.
