Loved the owners and had a great sleep at the hostel. The free bikes were excellent as well, even for a tall European guy like me. The price is the best in the area. The sake in the evening was very nice as well.

Lovely little hut with a brilliant and cosy atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. The pick-up service from the train station and free bike rental made the stay very pleasent as well and it is easy to get into the city centre. I can honestly highly recommend it.

outside of the city center, but i got free pickup and drop off = really nice! the owners only speak a little bit of English. it's not really a typical hostel since u live on the second floor of their house. it's small and it rather feels like a B&B without breakfast. rooms are clean, 3 bikes for free rental. no wifi expect if your outside from the neighbours. there's no reception so if u got questions u might have to wait. good for a Japanese experience. ;) no room key/lockers!

A superb little gem of a guesthouse/hostel. It's about 30m walk from the train station but they offer free pick up. It's located on the river front so it's a beautiful walk otherwise. The rooms and showers are clean, and the owners a delight. Even though I was the only guest when I visited they came in the evening to host a small sake party for me. Highly recommend.

It was freezing. No heat during the day in the room. No heat at all in bathroom and laundry room. The dryer doesn't work.

There were no keys or lockers, but thats fine in Japan apparently. The location wasnt the best, but with free pickup from the station and free bicycle hire (which can get you anywhere in a reasonable time) this wasnt a problem. Lovely beach house feel to the place, and the owners are lovely, offering sake and fruit. Would definately stay here again!!
