Front reception staff could have been more friendly. Support staff (security and cleaners etc...) were amazing.

Read the reviews before choosing to stay at Kenya Bay. At first it does seem a bit out dated but really...who cares! They are working daily to completely renovate. The place is quaint and the staff is excellent which makes it just a lovely place to stay during your holiday in Kenya. I will surely return to this hotel every time I visit mombasa..

If there was any disappointment at all, it was more about the location then the hotel itself. I had heard such great things about Mombasa and was really looking forward to seeing it, but the beach was nothing to blog about. You couldn't step out on the sand without getting accosted by ten different people selling tours, key chains or massages. i had come for some quiet relaxing time on a beach, and I ended up spending most of my time in my room. But the room was nice and the eats were great!
