Based in the heart of the entertainment area of Nyali in Mombasa, Tulia House Backpackers offers a range of accommodation to suit every individual and every budget. The staff were very welcoming and friendly especially Harriet who provided guidance and assistance. Recommend to offer “free breakfast” and use the board in the lobby wisely by specifying the tours (city, parks, markets, etc) and also specials of the day (pizza, BBQ, etc). There is loud conversations in the bar late in the night every night from the people who come from outside the property to play pool! The 3000 KEA to airport is excessive!

Really good experience. Harriat and Liz made my stay a pleasure. Thewood oven pizza in the weekend is amazing. Don't order the chicken curry, got sick twice from it. The staff is passionate about the hostel and try you to stay longer. Its not busy now, but its Kenya. The Kenyan people are more than enough. A great country.

Tulia house is the perfect place to stay if you’re in mombasa! The staff were lovely from the get go and loved interacting with us and getting to know us. The property is massive with a pool, bar, lots of outdoor seating, games etc. but was super empty when we were there but can imagine it would be a good vibe with lots of people! Rooms are nice enough but the mosquito net doesn’t cover the full bed & cold showers. Overall it was amazing and I would definitely stay again and recommend to others!
