The rooms were freezing, the showers weren't too clean, Couldn't find staff most of the time they were hanging out somewhere else. The hostel is beautiful, an old house from the 18th century, very creepy feeling though, I couldn't sleep all night, I kept hearing whistling down the halls, I felt like I was in a scary movie, lol. Far drive and even farther walk to the town, or any fun.

It was my first time back hosteling in 30 years and after spending that time in hotels of various grades, I was impressed. One crib, and this might have effected any French or Kiwi visitors more than me, was the absence of coverage of the RUGBY WORLD CUP FINAL.

I liked the atmosphere of this building. Staff was very nice, friendly and informative and the rooms as well as the bathrooms were clean. The surrounding area of the hostel is also very nice. I really enjoyed my stay and will come back next year.

You are 20 mins to the nearest gas station and an hour walk to the city. The buses don't run all night so you have to take a very expensive taxi home. The rooms was very dirty and smelled gross!

The staff was not very helpful and the location was horrible. Rooms smelled really bed and it was a very dirty hostel. This was the worst one we stayed at during our trip.

The power was out due to a fire in the area - they were very proactive in offering lists to town and helpful in finding other accomodation and gaved money back quibble free- will definately return.

Looks good on the outside, but the inside is disappointing. Poor interior, feels like being in a mobile home instead of a large house. Staff didn't have much knowledge, both about the hostel itself and about the surroundings (e.g. public transport, activities in the area). Sometimes during the day there was no one a the reception and you had to look for them. Towels were 2 euros, which is a lot comparing to other hostels. Breakfast also was expensive (3 euros a day) for what you got.

Overall, an excellent hostel in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpfull and rooms were clean and comfortable. The facilities were great and being able to purchase breakfast for 3 euro was convenient, Showers were okay but poorly designed as there is really no dry area to stand in after showering. Shower head/rose needs to be placed further away from door in the showers that we used. Small issue and would not stop us staying in the hostel again, as we really enjoyed our stay.

The manager was very helpful. The kitchen opens a little too late in the mornings. The rooms in the main buildingare much better than those in the other buildings. The common areas are comfortable.

It is a big hostel and there were many groups. Kitchen gets messy in the evening as you would expect. Its location does not really help for getting food unless you are by car. But staff was very friendly, weather was good and I had a good time there. However, I prefer smaller places where you can actually get to know people.

we stayed in smaller building - quite cold (white breeze-block walls) and doors wouldn't close properly. broken locks on the shower doors. plug sockets in the corridor meant a noisy awakening as neighbours used a hairdryer to dry their clothes! booked twin room online but only four-bed bunk rooms available - please update web booking page to reflect this. nice staircase in main building & good games to play in the evening.

A bit far away from the city if you don t have a car, but the bikes are ok and an excelent way to visit the area. Nice welcoming at the hostal, good dormitories. I recommend.
