Kinabalu Mountain Lodge Reviews

Very nice place located deep inside the mountain, while easy to get to. No traffic noise, just birds and bugs' nautral symphony. Staff are very friendly. We extended our stay one more day, bought vegetable from outside and cooked in the kitchen, enjoyed the relaxing sunset.

This hostel is incredible as long as you understand what you are getting. The view from the hostel is outstanding, and it is settled at the base of Mt. Kinabalu. Absolutely breathtaking. Things to consider: no wifi, which I LOVED. It was nice not to be connected :) They stop serving food at 6, so if you are arriving late make sure you get food beforehand. The walk off the road is more than 1 kilo, and it is hilly, it is a nice walk but be prepared to work a little bit.

It is far away from the main road, more than 1 KM although they claimed is just 1 KM, it all about the small hill path, but the sunrise view is very nice, just need to check-in early, do not take the van from KK city after 4PM, otherwise is too dark while you arrive, and cannot see the path, no lightings on the way.

A beautiful and lovely Lodge with a perfect location! Very caring staff, the two girls were just great. Cold in the nights but beautiful during day! Meals are very big portions and very good!! ( break and dinner) If you like nature and a stunning atmosphere go there!!

A fine place to spend the night, only a two KM walk to the park. Cold at night though.
