This hostel surprised me at how cool it was, me and my friends loved this place as it was social, clean, good food, great dorm room even though you had to climb a huge ladder to get to a certain section of the room but I guess that was the fun of this very different hostel. The German owner is a great guy who lives in the hostel with his family. He really listens to the needs of his guests and does his best to provide this. Loved this place and was a great place to really hangout when in sucre.

This large colonial house is where Claus & family live. The majority of the house is a language school, a bar, & then there's one large dorm semi divided in two. Claus the owner is a lovely guy who will do anything to ensure you have a good stay however the lady who works the day not so much. They keep no record of phone bookings or hostelworld bookings so expect to arrive with no room available. "Kitchen" is electric hot plate in the dorm next to a bed. However great character + good location

I didnt like the hostel, first of all, because once you get there the staff wont even look at your face, wont give even a map so you can explore the city. Horrible reception. Second of all the bedrooms have huge wholes in the middle that make peoples back hurt, specially for backpackers thats very bad. The biulding is very old and I had to climb over this very tall iron stairs in the wall to get in my bedroom.

A well-run hostel right in the centre of Sucre. Some of the guests seem to be students of the Spanish school located on site. Fast wifi, but only in the courtyard and not in the rooms. There is a restaurant with tasty meals, unforunately, they always ran out of "menu del dia” when I was there. A great place overall.

Kitchen facilities are pretty poor. Bathroom in the first dorm has a glass panneled door which is only partly covered over and even that´s only barely opaque, not ideal. and the bathroom itself is pretty small. Also, no lockers or anywhere to store your stuff, and all common areas except for the attached restaurant are outdoors, which is fine which the weather is good, but a bit rubbish on a rainy Sunday, when the restaurant is closed.

German run hostel.... No more needs to be said. Well... Great staff and run by a sweet family. The building itself is astonishing, colonial and relaxing. Good food on the Menu del Dia. But watch out for the hostess during the carnival period, she like to throw water bombs. ***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SELLER!!!** (sorry wrong site)

This is easily the best hostel (facility wise) that I've been to in south america. It is fairly new, but will easily be the most popular hostel in sucre given some time to climb the hostelworld ranks haha. It's not a crazy party hostel like loki, but I met so many cool people and they have amazing, cheap food on the premises. The location is perfect, two blocks from the plaza and gringo bars. sucre is a mellow town, so kick back, make new friends, and take some spanish lessons. chao

Thanks for all Klaus, our stay was fantastic, the place is awesome. Its an old spanish/colonial house, just three blocks away from downtown. Just the perfect place to stay in sucre.

The hostel set in an amazing building with a nice garden. Breakfast is good but can be improved for 20Bs which is well worth it. Lacks a common area on Sundays as the cafe is closed and arriving late night might not work.

Pros: nice staff in the cafe, great location, awesome courtyards if you have nice weather, good price, breakfast if you pay extra is fantastic Cons: no one ever at the reception, completely shuts down on Sundays..no cleaning service, cafe is closed good luck checking in on Sundays, some mattresses suck, no lockers, no wifi in bedroom which wouldn't be a problem except if it is raining there is no common space other than the cafe (closed on Sundays) Has room for improvement

Thank you very much for your feedback. Yes, I remember this Sunday. It was the worst day in the year, it was raining so much. Fortunately there might be only 3 days per year like this. However it is right we should open the Cafe/Restaurant Sundays, but unfortunately I can`t convince my Bolivian wife. It is a cultural and religious issue, we are always fighting about this point. Nevertheless of course we attend arriving customers the only problem might be, if you arrive between 12:00 to 14:00 this day, but usually a guest will open you as well. Anyway, thanks a lot! Claus

We loved our quirky room with elevated bed and the beautiful, peaceful garden - we couldn't believe how tranquil it was considering the hostel is located just two blocks from the main plaza. The location is fantastic and the food in the cafe was like nothing else we've experienced in Bolivia, it surpassed all our expectations. Klaus was extremely helpful and is a really nice guy, we would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing hostel. We stayed for Christmas and decided to splash out on this hostel and were not disappointed. I can't think of a single negative during our stay. We couldn't believe the room we had, it had so much character: a big window looking out to a fountain, a old door with a giant old key that turned out to be the wardrobe and a beautiful mosaic tiled bathroom. Claus is one of the most genuinely friendly and helpful hostel owners we've met and put on an amazing Christmas Eve for us.

This is an amazing hostel to stay in, the rooms in the dorms are more like a appartment & have a smalll kitchen and a dining table. There are 3 lovely courtyards to relax in and also enjoy breakfast! The breakfast is served to you & includes fresh bread, homemade jam, honey and coffee... If you want to upgrade your breakfast go for the wellness breakfast which includes an egg, lovely cheeses fruit and yoghurt for 20 bolivianos. Klaus the owner is always on hand to help & provides great service!

We didnt actually end up staying (we wanted a bigger kitchen). The hostel itself is new and maybe a little disorganised, well felt that way, but otherwise looked fantastic. Its about three blocks from the main plaza, has a real nice resturant/ cafe and always has lots of things happening there. We both wish the hostel the best of luck as im sure it will be a great success

Hallo , Unfortunately we were not able to satisfy your expectations according a bigger kitchen, as most of our customers eat in out restaurant, which by the way offers Bolivian, German, and international cuisine. As for our stuff, we always work on improving and assure you to take your advices in consideration to changes! Thank you for you review and have a save trip! We would be glad to welcome you back here at some other point!
