An excellent hostel, the deluxe double has t.v comfy double bed and a brilliant shower, a sofa outside the room for relaxing and using the wifi. There is a nice roof terrace, pool and ping pong table. However the bar was the main draw, it had loads of character , an excellent menu and was worth a visit on its on merit. This is was on the best hostels I have had the pleasure to stay in! Nice and quiet to sleep in as well, no howling dogs at 2am!

Very clean hostel. However the drain in the bathroom need to be improved. A bit difficult to find from the North Station. There is no direction from the North Bus Station

Another great hostel in China. Standards are really high compared to some other countries. Once again a large spacious dorm, good showers and a very nice building with lots of fresh flowers even. Nice bar downstairs and helpful staff. Few free computers too. Only minus point - on the last of my three nights a large group of Chinese guests had a party on the balcony. There are notices asking people to socialize downstairs, but this was not enforced.

My stay at Cloudland has been unbeatable. I felt like home. Do not miss anything! You can relax or read a book on the sofa. Sunbathe or enjoy the sunset on the terrace or enjoy a meal in the bar. And the team always ready to help and satisfy you. Thanks for everything!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to start your travel from, since you can book train tickets there and they speak English very well (which is unusual in China). Breakfast was good and beds were comfy. Rooms have many outlets too, which is useful when you are traveling to be able to charge electronics.

Very enjoyable staff with helpful staff. Toilets were clean with toilet paper available. Showers hot. Beds comfortable and had own lockers (padlocks provided) The room we stayed in (404) could have done with a fan as it was very very hot even though it wasn't that hot outside. Food in bar was delicious. I would definitely use this hostel again :)

The staff are really nice. Becky helped us to deliver a mail when we had to leave early that day.

After a very short stay in Kunming my view experience of this hostel was brief. However, whether or not my girlfriend thoroughly disliked the place, since literally nothing on the menu was actually available, and food is everything to her, I genuinely liked the vibe of Cloudland. The staff were friendly, the accommodation itself felt homely and organized with care. Plus the ability to book onward travel and an abundance of advice on further trips around the Yunnan province proved very useful.
