just cheap and normal hostel

Very Cold in Winter and a crazy dog going everywhere!

Nice hostel, great and helpful staff and good location. A bit expensive considered that the facilities are a bit worn out and there's no breakfast included. Nice stay, friendly people and no bigger complaints though!

not bad ... but near via rail station price is very cheap

didnt seem to find anyone that didnt speak french, so was hard to meet people, but it was a nice hostel.. mind your head on the door heights for tall people..

Steeve is an excellent host. Gave me a detailed briefing on the attractions and suggested a couple of greats sights and activities for under $10, He also helped me book a taxi as it had to be done in french!

The manager Steve is a really nice guy, who provided me with all the Travel info. at my arrival. Though the hostel lacks a very distinguishable character, it is a small and personal one to stay, where manager knows everybody there. This makes me feel secured about my luggage and stay, since it's small. The location is a little bit far from the Old Quebec, but it's not bad to take a stroll to the old city at any time of the day. The pub across the street's noisy.

amazing hostel. funky, clean, very easy living. sweet rooftop patio. Manager Steve super helpful and nice, and if you are lucky enough to sit down with him for a chat, he has got some ripper stories. Wanted to stay for a week!!!!

Very friendly welcoming and the owner put a tour together for us so that we can see the best of quebec on one day. Everything was clean, internet worked, nice balkony.

The location is prety good,just next to VIA rail and bus station. The dog in hostel is cute, but becarful he will bite you if you want to touch his head( and my friend did). ohtherwise there is a Pub nearby, so it would be noisy during midnight. So if you don't care about noisy at night and like dogs, it's a nice place to stay.

yi have stayed in a lot of hostels in my time ! but could not believe the attitude of the guy who greeted me in thus very average hostel! i allmost cancelled my booking!! thr rooms are pokey, the kitchen has rules everywhere and it lacks atmosphere! also not well sign posted from outside !walked up the street few times b4 i found it! i will not be recommending it to my many travel buddies!

This hostel was quite pricey for what you get. Though the location was great, I don't think I'd return here. La Belle Planete is definitely in need of some TLC; my mattress was beyond stained...and the rest of the place looked quite run down. It would be great if the owners invested some time and care into this place, and brought in some better customer service.

A great place. Like the previous reviewer said, don't be put off by the bad reviews, this place has everything you could need, is clean, and has a lot of funky character. Steve is a great help. There wasn't much to do at the hostel in the evenings, but that was only a thing for me because I was travelling alone, I'm a bit shy and my French is terrible. The place is great, in a great location, and I'll be recommending it to any friends travelling to QC in the future.

The hostel has received post from me, really good! Anything else bad! Breakfast was included in the offer - there was no breakfast! Very unfelxibel! To less lockers! Too small rooms! Very unfriendly staff! Never ever this hostel!
