It`s just outside the inner city. Fair amount of stairs to get up there but that`s not usually a problem for backpackers. It was really clean - they clean the bathrooms every morning. A bit loud at night - the bar across the street gets rowdy so bring earplugs! Cool terrace, and you can come in any time of the night - you wont get locked out. Quiet after 11:00pm. Overall a great experience! :)

Great hostel! However, check out at 10 am is pretty early. Also, it's pretty expensive. Staff is great though.

Fantastic hostel! Great place to stay - the place was very clean, had lots of character and was in a fantastic location! Steve gave me great advice on what things to see in the city and was extremely helpful!

I really appreciated Steve's recommendations of what to see. I did not know the Metrobus went to Montmorency Falls, it was great seeing the falls. And the museum of Civilization is also awesome. Loved the history!

The room doesn't have lock, and it's a bit crowded when you live in 6-occupant room. And the female room is inside of mixed room, which is without lock as well, I feel it's not very safe. And the whole hostel's space is not too big, the air in room is not fresh. Cleanliness is not quite good. However, the host of hostel is quite helpful and nice!

Everything was very clean (the bathrooms looked newly redone!), and I loved the funky atmosphere. Staff was super friendly and helpful. It is in a really great area, a short walk to all the major sites to see in QC. Just watch out for Skippy the house dog, he doesn't much like being bothered.

Very dirty hostel. The room was a hallway that gave access to another room, so people were going through our room all night long. Very expensive considered that facilites are worn out. Don't recommend this hostel to anyone.

I was an old house near the bottom of the City with an interesting layout. You can not check-in whenever, so we had problems driving from Boston and arriving at 1 am. We could not check in and had to pay to stay elsewhere. The manager was a bit anal about everything, there were sooo many rules of the house. Price was higher than normal hostels. The manager was helpful, it seemed clean, it was warm, and security seemed fine. Also CANADA taxes not included in price and must pay in cash!!

Was good but no reason to feel superior to everyone because you work there. Some of us know the area quite well without a 45 mins intro.

Nice hostel, great and helpful staff and good location. A bit expensive considered that the facilities are a bit worn out and there's no breakfast included. Nice stay, friendly people and no bigger complaints though!
